Dreamer to DEMS: ‘Stop using us a PAWNS’ as he praises TRUMP’s immigration leadership

(National SentinelIdentity Politics: “Dreamer” Hilario Yanez complimented President Donald J. Trump for his leadership during an interview on Fox News Saturday while chastising the Democratic Party for using him and others like him as political “pawns.”

“At the end of the day, here’s a guy who wants to provide a pathway to citizenship for myself and, you know, really make a difference in my life,” Yanez said of the president.

“I’m for that. Also, I believe we need to have border security so this doesn’t happen again,” he added.

“And if a wall is necessary to provide another layer for border security to do their job in a safe and responsible manner, then, you know, I think it’s necessary to fund it,” he continued.

“The diversity lottery — I think it’s outdated, I think it’s time for people who want to come to the United States to focus on skills so they can contribute to the American economy,” Yanez said.

He also blasted Democrats, saying he is “frustrated” by their unwillingness to work with the president on his immigration reform plans while using people like him as political “pawns.”

“The Democratic leadership, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, really have no clear message,” he argued. “We have been confused, I think at the end of the day they have been using us as pawns.”

“We should have never shut down the government over DACA. We should have never held our American people and our military hostage,” he said, noting that Democrats opted not to solve the DACA problem when they had control of Congress.

DACA refers to Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals, a program implemented via executive order by President Obama in 2012. The order was set to be challenged by about a dozen states as an unconstitutional change to immigration law before Trump rescinded it in September.

He gave Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix for the program. That deadline is March 5.

Yanez said he is proud to be in the United States and would “do anything to serve this country, to die for this country.”

“All I need is a chance,” he concluded.

Citing politics, sanctuary cities and CRIME, there’s an EXODUS out of California

(National SentinelUnsustainable: In the past few years more people are leaving many California cities than coming, despite the lure of good-paying high-tech jobs and other opportunities.

There are a number of reasons for the net outflow of California’s residents, but the principal causes are the high cost of housing, illegal immigrant crime, and the state’s far-Left politics.

“I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same,” Carole Dabak, a retired engineer who’s lived in San Jose for 40 years, told local station KPIX.

She’s preparing to sell her home for about $1 million then buy a bigger home for less than half the price near Nashville, Tenn., where she has family and will retire.

Dabek cites crowding, crime, and politics as the reasons for her own exodus.

“We don’t like it here anymore. You know, we don’t like this sanctuary state status and just the politics here,” she said.

KPIX describes the outflow of people as a “mass exodus.”

Russell Hancock of Joint Venture Silicon Valley said, “Silicon Valley has been this place that is growing. And it was mostly growing because…people relocating here and relocating from other parts of the world. That’s changing.”

The company’s own survey found that people are moving to Sacramento, Austin and Portland, Oregon.

“You can’t even contemplate getting into the housing market here,” Hancock said. “And I don’t mean just service workers, I mean highly skilled professionals. The tech elite are having a hard time affording reasonable housing in Silicon Valley. So this is difficult, this makes it very difficult for employers trying to recruit.”

KPIX reported that nationwide the biggest migration centers are Phoenix, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Nashville.

Others who have left California have cited the state’s high taxes and growing number of homeless people living in the streets.

If Congress doesn’t pass DACA legalization, then Dreamers will…LEAVE

(National SentinelAdios, America: A group of so-called “Dreamers” — illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as children by their parents — is threatening to self-deport if Congress fails to pass legislation legalizing their presence inside the country.

In an interview with CNN, one of the Dreamers, Alex Velez, said, “I will leave. I will leave America as soon as possible,” claiming that she would prefer to depart the country on her own terms than wait for the United States to collect and deport her.

She and others like her believe that by self-deporting their absence will be noticed by Americans and missed.

“Velez and her sister claim they own businesses, pay tuition, and hold jobs, and that America has a duty to keep them here in order to maintain their contributions,” The Daily Wire reported.

Both girls are from Venezuela, a country that is currently collapsing under the Marxist regime of President Nicolas Maduro.

President Obama implemented the Dreamers plan — formally known as Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals, or DACA — in September by executive order. Critics at the time decried the order, claiming it was an unconstitutional change to immigration law, which only Congress can do.

As many as 10 states lined up to challenge DACA in federal court. As such, President Donald J. Trump rescinded the order in September and gave Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix.

That deadline is March 5.

Study: Welfare for FOREIGN refugees costing U.S. taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars

(National SentinelAmerica First: A new study appears to validate President Donald J. Trump’s claims that taxpayers are increasingly on the hook to care for refugees who are brought into the country and resettled.

The study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) found that foreign refugees are being given about $867 million in welfare benefits every year.

In all, taxpayers are billed about $1.8 billion for the full cost of resettling foreign refugees every year, the study found. And after five years, American taxpayers will have spent about $8.8 billion on resettling foreign refugees.

“Using the most recent admissions figures, data on federal and state public assistance programs, and information from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), our analysis found:

  • The cost per refugee to American taxpayers just under $79,600 every year in the first five years after a refugee is resettled in the U.S.;
  • In 2016, the State Department spent nearly $545 million to process and resettle refugees, including $140,389,177 on transportation costs;
  • Of the $1.8 billion in resettlement costs, $867 billion was spent on welfare alone;

  • In their first five years, approximately 54 percent of all refugees will hold jobs that pay less than $11 an hour;
  • $71 million will be spent to educate refugees and asylum-seekers, a majority of which will be paid by state and local governments.
  • Over five years, an estimated 15.7 percent of all refugees will need housing assistance, which is roughly $7,600 per household in 2014 dollars.”

“It is important to note that this analysis does not address the costs associated with any incurred national security and law enforcement costs associated with some refugees who pose a threat,” the study continued.

“The total price of additional vetting and screening expenditures, law enforcement and criminal justice costs, and federal homeland security assistance to state and local agencies is hard to quantify,” it said.

Democrats have long argued that refugees and immigrants do not qualify for federal welfare benefits. But FAIR’s study proves otherwise.

Since 1980, the U.S. has admitted more than 3.5 million foreign refugees, with nearly 100,000 refugees arriving in 2016 under former President Obama.

FO-300x250-1

Trump, who has been critical of U.S. refugee resettlement programs, lowered the number of refugees admitted to the country, reducing the annual flow of refugees by 70 percent in his first year in office, as Breitbart News reported.

NFL linebacker Edwin Jackson allegedly MURDERED by illegal alien driving DRUNK

(National SentinelSenseless: A budding young linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts and his Uber driver were both allegedly mowed down and killed by an illegal alien who had been deported from the country twice.

According to various reports, the driver of the car, 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe, and his passenger, 26-year-old Colts Linebacker Edwin Jackson, were both killed. Police arrested a man who identified himself as Alex Cabrera Gonsales, a 37-year-old Mexican national after he allegedly crashed his black Ford F-150 into a car parked along Interstate 70 near Indianapolis.

Reports further noted that in reality, the suspect’s name is Manuel Orrego-Savala, a citizen of Guatemala. Records show he was deported once in 2007 and again in 2009. It’s unclear how long he’s been in the country this time.

Authorities believe Monroe was a rideshare operator who picked up Jackson and was taking him home. Monroe apparently pulled his car over to the shoulder to assist Jackson who had become ill.

Both were killed shortly thereafter when Savala allegedly smashed into their vehicle with his pickup truck.

The impact threw one of the victims into the center lane of the highway where he was later struck by another vehicle. The coroner’s office pronounced both victims dead at the scene of the crash.

Savala fled the scene on foot after the crash. Police spotted him a short while later on an interstate off-ramp and arrested him.

Jackson, nicknamed “Pound Cake,” recently completed his second season with the Colts. His death and the death Monroe come as Congress races to beat a March 5 deadline to pass legislation regarding so-called “Dreamers” brought into the U.S. illegally by their parents as children.

Trump is considering allowing them to stay but wants tougher border security including funding for his long-sought border wall, an end to chain migration, and changes to the visa lottery system — all of which Democrats and some Republicans oppose.

Trump to DEMS on DACA: ‘Blame, complain, obstruct!’

(National SentinelImmigration Deformed: President Donald J. Trump on Thursday tweeted out a reminder to Congress that the March 5 deadline he gave them to come up with a legislative fix to the Obama-era Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is fast approaching.

In a tweet, the president also laid the blame for the lack of a deal squarely on Democrats.

“March 5th is rapidly approaching and the Democrats are doing nothing about DACA. They Resist, Blame, Complain and Obstruct – and do nothing. Start pushing Nancy Pelosi and the Dems to work out a DACA fix, NOW!” he tweeted.

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/959031505145212928

The White House has offered a plan that provides a 12-year path to citizenship for some DACA recipients, but also calls for $25 billion for the president’s border wall, ends so-called “chain migration” and scraps the Visa lottery program, replacing it with a merit-based system.

Democrats have rejected the plan out of hand. They have decried its long-term cuts to the immigration system and pledging not to allocate funds for a border wall.

Trump has repeatedly said, however, that without border wall funding and other provisions, he won’t approve any DACA legislation that would give those recipients citizenship.

Report: 675 ‘Sanctuary’ jurisdictions preventing ICE from locating, removing TERRORISTS

(National SentinelHomeland: A new report from the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general says that 675 local and state jurisdictions are refusing to help federal immigration officials with  “detainer” requests to hand over illegal immigrants who have been arrested for breaking local laws.

By refusing to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement requests, the local jurisdictions are also helping to shield terrorist suspects, the report, which was published earlier this month and titled, “ICE Faces Challenges to Screen Aliens Who May Be Known or Suspected Terrorists,” says.

Some local law enforcement agencies will not honor ICE immigration detainer requests, which further impacts (Enforcement and Removal Operations)’s ability to take criminal aliens into its custody and apply (the Known or Suspected Terrorist Encounter Protocol) to identify possible terrorist connections,” the report said, as noted by the Media Research Center.

The IG noted that ICE “may have missed opportunities to identify, apprehend, and adjudicate the status of aliens posing the highest risk to public safety and national security” because of the jurisdictions’ failure to cooperate.

“Based on source data provided by ERO’s Law Enforcement Systems and Analysis unit, we determined that approximately 675 jurisdictions nationwide declined to honor more than 29,269 ICE immigration detainers from January 2014 through May 2017,” the report said.

Detainer requests are sent to local law enforcement agencies when ICE believes a suspect who has been arrested may be in the U.S. illegally.

“When law enforcement agencies fail to honor immigration detainers and release serious criminal offenders, it undermines ICE’s ability to protect public safety and carry out its mission,” ICE’s Detainer Policy reads.

The IG report makes four recommendations.

One, KSTEP should be expanded to require “periodic screening of aliens under supervision” because, at present, the program does not require continued screening of the 2.4 million illegal immigrants in ICE custody.

Two, ICE should ensure that ERO offices have all necessary communication facilities.

Three, ICE should assess its current resources to see if more officers are needed.

Four, the agency should “strengthen its quality control program by defining clear oversight responsibilities.”

“Mitigating and reducing any vulnerability is vital to our nation’s security,” Acting Inspector General John Kelly said. “We are pleased with ICE’s response to heed our findings by initiating the process to implement all recommendations.”

The Trump Justice Department is also stepping up enforcement actions against sanctuary jurisdictions. Last week DoJ sent letters to 23 cities demanding proof they are complying with federal immigration laws.

The letters warned the jurisdictions they will face legal action in federal court unless they reverse policies that shield illegal immigrants from deportation.

In a single tweet, Trump BLOWS AWAY entire Dem narrative on DACA

(National SentinelImmigration Deformed: Last week the White House announced an immigration reform plan that would include eventual citizenship for some 1.8 million people, most of whom remain in the country illegally under a policy implemented by President Obama.

The plan hasn’t been well-received by many of President Donald J. Trump’s supporters because it appears to go against pledges he made during his campaign to deport people in the country illegally.

But Trump on Saturday tweeted out his rationale for allowing the so-called “DACA” recipients a lengthy path to citizenship: It would remove a key wedge issue Democrats have long used to extract concessions from Republicans.

“I have offered DACA a wonderful deal, including a doubling in the number of recipients & a twelve year pathway to citizenship, for two reasons: (1) Because the Republicans want to fix a long time terrible problem. (2) To show that Democrats do not want to solve DACA, only use it!” Trump tweeted.

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/957462746060206080

That said, the president isn’t offering something for nothing. His plan includes $25 billion in funding for his proposed border wall; an end to chain migration; and an end to the diversity visa lottery program.

Obama, via executive order, implemented the DACA program in June 2012. Trump rescinded it in September, giving Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix.

Trump said at the time he believed the program violated the Constitution.

Carlson and Coulter DESTROY establishment media MYTH that ‘America LOVES Dreamers!’

(National SentinelLegal Immigration: On Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program Friday night, he and conservative author, pundit and lawyer Ann Coulter discussed and debunked statistics widely cited by the ‘mainstream’ media that most Americans support so-called “Dreamers” — illegal immigrants brought into the country by their parents.

Slamming “phony polls” that purport to show that most Americans back liberal immigration policies, Carlson noted that many lawmakers, including a sizable percentage of Republicans, seemingly ignore Americans’ concerns on the issue.

“There’s a deeper question about democracy here,” Tucker said.

“So, if the public has been clear in poll after poll about what it wants and what it doesn’t want on the question of immigration, and it went to the trouble of electing Donald Trump against all odds and all predictions, just to express that view, and it still can’t get what it demonstrably wants in immigration, is it possible for the public to have a say in this?”

“No, it’s amazing. I mean, it is beyond what you just described,” Coulter noted, as reported by The Daily Caller

“I was looking through Nexis transcripts today. The fact that Donald Trump is president–it was utterly implausible. It’s like a Hollywood movie. And this isn’t the first time,” she continued.

“You keep hearing these phony polls being being cited by the media, showing that American love Dreamers! They love them! Just like that one you interviewed, who couldn’t love her? They love them!”

She went onto note that recent polling indicates that a majority of Americans want less immigration — legal and illegal. Recently, the Trump administration “distributed a Harvard-Harris poll that showed Americans generally approve of the president’s immigration plan, believe people should enter legally, and that those who are allowed in should contribute to American life in a positive way,” the Washington Examiner reported.

“…[E]very time they have an actual ballot, every time, for 20 years now, [Americans] will vote against bail for illegals, against government services for illegals, they’ll vote for Donald Trump, they’ll vote for English as the national language,” said Coulter, author of several top-selling books including one on immigration called, “Adios, America.”

“This Harvard poll that just came out that shows more Americans would like zero immigration than our current immigration policy. But the way they pull off these phony polls, is by, I mean, I didn’t need to read Saul Alinsky to know this is not a good way to take a poll–they personalize it,” Coulter continued.

“They say do you want to support Juanita the maid? They make it about a specific person. No, I want questions like ‘Do you want more or less immigration?’ ‘Do you think people who break the law should be able to become citizens and start collecting welfare right away?’ ‘Do you think we should we be dumping millions of low-wage workers on the country?’”

Coulter then noted recent reports indicating that President Donald J. Trump may be supportive of a plan that gives many so-called DACA recipients -a slow but sure path to citizenship.

Rated #1 Consumer Reports

“Which is going to come back–I mean, Trump thinks he’s a genius and in some ways he is,” Coulter said. “He has an uncanny sense for what are popular issues, that’s why he won. He may be able to roll over the never-Trumpers, but if he continues down this line, former-Trumpers may be a much more difficult category for him.”

“We need an immigration time-out so we can assimilate those who are here, like we did throughout much of the 20th century,” editor-in-chief J. D. Heyes said.

Dems cry ‘RACISM’ over White House DACA compromise bill; multicultural MAJORITY of voters cry ‘WE WANT IT’

(National SentinelTone Deaf: A majority of Democrats have already come out against what is being billed as a potential “DACA compromise” from the White House that the administration believes will be enough to get the plan over the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold.

But a number of Democrats have accused the plan of being racist, authored by “white supremacists” in the administration.

“Let’s call this proposal for what it is: a white supremacist ransom note,” United We Dream, the largest “immigrant youth network” in the country,  said in a statement. “Trump and [White House aide] Stephen Miller killed DACA and created the crisis that immigrant youth are facing. They have taken immigrant youth hostage, pitting us against our own parents, Black immigrants and our communities in exchange for our dignity.”

“It would be far cheaper to erect a 50-foot concrete statue of a middle finger and point it towards Latin America,” tweeted racialist Trump critic Rep. Luis Gutierrez of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Thursday afternoon. “Both a wall and the statue would be equally offensive and equally ineffective and both would express Trump’s deeply held suspicion of Latinos.”

But those opinions are far outside of those held by a majority of Americans, regardless of ethnicity.

Survival gear

The Daily Caller reported:

A Harvard-Harris poll released earlier this week found that 81 percent of voters support reducing annual immigration from its current level of more than 1 million per year, including 63 percent who want it cut by at least half.

Nearly 70 percent of all voters think the green card lottery, which randomly allots 50,000 immigrant visas to people from countries with low immigration to the U.S., is a bad idea. That figure includes 62 percent of Democratic voters, 61 percent of Hispanic voters, and 57 percent of black voters, according to the Harvard-Harris Poll.

As for border security, the administration’s proposal to build a physical wall along the entire U.S.-Mexico border has struggled to crack 50 percent support among all voters. But a majority of voters — 54 percent — support building a “combination of physical and electronic barriers” across the southwest border. That description lines up with the public statements of top administration officials, including Trump himself, who have conceded that a contiguous border wall is not necessary.

Finally, rolling all of the border security and immigration reforms into a deal that gives DACA recipients a path to citizenship, as the White House immigration framework does, is an overwhelmingly popular plan. The Harvard-Harris poll found that two-thirds of all voters favor such a deal, including 68 percent of Hispanic voters and 64 percent of black voters.

Reports have noted that President Donald J. Trump is supportive of the plan, which would allow DACA recipients to “morph” into citizens over a decade. But there’s no indication yet what the final legislation would look like.

Trump’s plan for ‘some’ DACA recipients: ‘Morph’ into citizens but NOT quickly

(National SentinelImmigration Reform: President Donald J. Trump appeared to soften his tone toward so-called “Dreamers” on Wednesday, suggesting to reporters that he would back a plan that would allow some of them to “morph” into citizens over a period of years.

“We’re going to morph into it, it’s going to happen over a period of 10-12 years,” Trump said, when asked if an immigration deal will include a pathway to citizenship for the illegal immigrants previously covered under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program.

“If somebody’s worked hard, if they’ve done a great job, it gives you an incentive to do a great job,” Trump said. “They’ve worked hard, They’ve done terrifically, whether they have a little company, or whether they work, whatever they’re doing, if they done a great job, I think it’s a nice thing to have the incentive after a period of time to become a citizen.”

Trump signed an executive order in September countermanding President Obama’s EO establishing the program. He gave Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix.

Reports have said that a bipartisan Senate plan to offer full citizenship to DACA recipients on a much quicker timeframe that also did not include enough concrete border security measures was rejected out-of-hand by the president.

Trump said when he signed his order last fall that he empathized with DACA Dreamers, but that Congress should have been permitted to address the issue via legislation, not through presidential executive action.

Obama’s EO was set to be challenged by nearly a dozen states as unconstitutional before Trump ended the program.

A federal judge in the liberal Ninth Circuit has since issued a stay, banning Trump’s order  from taking effect until lawsuits aimed at keeping DACA in place work their way through federal courts.

“Terming the government’s decision to end DACA ‘arbitrary and capricious’ and based on a flawed legal premise, Judge William Alsup ordered that the program must continue to renew applications from those previously covered until lawsuits regarding those affected are resolved, even though new applications for Dreamer status did not have to be processed,” Jurist reported.

But on Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court granted the Department of Justice’s request for an expedited review of the lower court’s order.

As for Trump’s overall approach to immigration, reform advocates have praised his administration’s ongoing efforts to crack down on others in the country illegally and to rein in sanctuary cities.

It BEGINS: Justice Dept. warns 23 ‘Sanctuary Cities’ LEGAL ACTION is coming

(National SentinelImmigration Deformed: The Department of Justice on Wednesday warned 23 so-called “sanctuary” jurisdictions they will face legal action in federal court unless they reverse policies that shield illegal immigrants from deportation.

As reported by The Daily Caller, DoJ sent letters to several major cities including Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles requesting documents that prove they are in compliance with federal immigration laws.

In particular, sanctuary jurisdictions have to prove they are complying with 8 United States Code 1373, a section of the federal statutes that prohibit cities and jurisdictions from enacting laws restricting communication between local officials and federal immigration agents.

Previously, the Justice Department sent similar requests to the 23 jurisdictions, but department officials said the responses they got back didn’t provide enough information to prove or confirm compliance with Section 1373.

“I continue to urge all jurisdictions under review to reconsider policies that place the safety of their communities and their residents at risk,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement. “Protecting criminal aliens from federal immigration authorities defies common sense and undermines the rule of law.”

Jurisdictions that fail to provide information requested by the DoJ by Feb. 23 will then receive a federal subpoena compelling the cities to provide documentation, the letters said.

The DC noted further:

The DOJ has tried to pressure sanctuary cities by threatening to withhold certain federal funds, as part of the Trump administration’s broader crackdown on illegal immigration. Last year, Sessions revised the eligibility guidelines for Byrne criminal justice grants, requiring applicants to honor federal immigration detention requests, give immigration agents unfettered access to local jails, and comply with Section 1373.

In response to a lawsuit from the city of Chicago, a federal judge blocked the first two rules, but allowed the Section 1373 requirement to stand. The DOJ letters sent Tuesday specifically tying future Byrne grants to compliance with the section.

“Failure to comply with section 1373 could result in the Justice Department seeking the return of FY2016 grants, requiring additional conditions for receipt of any FY2017 Byrne JAG funding, and/or jurisdictions being deemed ineligible to receive FY2017 Byrne JAG funding,” the DoJ said.

The affected jurisdictions are:

Chicago; Cook County, Ill.; New York City; the state of California; Albany, N.Y.; Berkeley, Calif.; Bernalillo County, N.M.; Burlington, Vt.; the city and county of Denver, Colo.;  Fremont, Calif.; Jackson, Miss.; King County, Wash.; Lawrence, Mass.; City of Los Angeles, Calif.; Louisville, Ky.; Monterey County, Calif.; Sacramento County, Calif.; the city and county of San Francisco; Sonoma County, Calif.; Watsonville, Calif.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; the state of Illinois and the state of Oregon.

“We’ve given them federal dollars — your taxpayer dollars — to cooperate with federal law enforcement,” DOJ spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores told Fox News. “They didn’t have to take that money, but they did.

“And when they took it, they said they would comply with federal law. So what we’re saying is if we find out you’re not complying with federal law, we’re taking the tax dollars back,” she added.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement chief Thomas Homan has said the department should find a way to prosecution local officials if they continue to block federal enforcement of immigration laws.

Earlier this month, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielson confirmed during a Senate hearing that her agency had indeed been in contact with federal prosecutors to see what legal actions could be taken against local officials who implement and uphold sanctuary laws.

Also, ICE and other immigration enforcement agencies are planning to send hundreds of agents to sanctuary cities in an effort to identify those in the country illegally and deport them.

Trump TROLLS ‘Cryin’ Chuck’ after DEM embarrassment over #SchumerShutdown: ‘No wall, NO DACA’

(National SentinelPresidential: On Tuesday, President Donald J. Trump took to Twitter to take a swipe at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and press for funding for his acclaimed border wall.

“Cryin’ Chuck Schumer fully understands, especially after his humiliating defeat, that if there is no Wall, there is no DACA,” Trump wrote. “We must have safety and security, together with a strong Military, for our great people!”

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/956015565776277510

The president did not mention the other White House immigration reform principles which include an end to chain migration and the end of the visa lottery program.

The administration declared the Senate Flake/Graham/Durbin amnesty bill “dead on arrival” yesterday as well. However, officials said they were open to a bill that addressed their three top priorities on immigration.

“The President has laid out exactly what he wants to see, and he’s laid out the principles that need to be addressed for a piece of legislation that he’s actually willing to sign,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters.

However, Schumer no longer appears interested in making a deal. His office said Tuesday he had withdrawn a previous offer to agree to some funding for Trump’s proposed border wall.

Republican Study Group wants this DACA bill, but it’s the one DEMOCRATS will HATE the MOST

(National SentinelImmigration Deformed: The 150-member Republican Study Committee is pushing House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin to hold a vote on a bill involving illegal immigrations currently covered under provisions of the Obama-era Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals policy, or DACA.

But it’s likely the one bill Democrats will oppose the most.

As reported by The Daily Caller, the measure, authored by Rep. Bob Goodlatte, will grant legal status to certain younger illegal immigrants in exchange for a host of conservative immigration reforms.

They include: Funding for President Donald J. Trump’s border wall; limits on chain migration; and an end to the diversity visa lottery, which critics say favors unskilled poor over skilled foreigners who can contribute better to American society.

The bill has emerged as a White House favorite. The RSC’s steering panel voted to support the measure and is now calling for a full floor vote.

“The Securing America’s Future Act is the framework to strengthen border security, increase interior enforcement and resolve the DACA situation,” the steering committee said in a statement, according to CNN.

“We believe an eventual stand alone floor vote is essential. We oppose any process for a DACA solution that favors a backroom deal with Democrats over regular order in the House,” the RSC said.

The House measure comes as moderate Republicans and Democrats work out a deal of their own on DACA in the upper chamber that isn’t likely to pass muster with the White House.

As a compromise for Democratic support for a three-week government funding bill, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., agreed to open floor debate on DACA if a deal is not made in the next government funding bill due Feb. 8.

As TheDC reported further:

The Securing America’s Future Act — authored by GOP Reps. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia, Mike McCaul of Texas, Raul Labrador of Idaho and Martha McSally of Arizona — goes beyond the Trump administration’s DACA demands and tacks on mandatory e-Verify, punishments for sanctuary cities, tighter asylum standards, and significant cuts to legal immigration levels. It has been endorsed by groups that favor tighter limits on immigration, such as the Center for Immigration Studies and Numbers USA.

The bill does not have backing from some moderate House GOP members because it doesn’t offer a path to citizenship for DACA recipients, just renewable legal status.

“North Carolina Rep. Mark Walker, who leads the RSC, says the bill will likely need some modifications to get to a majority of 218 votes. But he believes House leadership should use it as a starting point for DACA negotiations,” TheDC reported.

Trump celebrates DEMOCRAT cave-in over govt. shutdown WITHOUT deal for DACA: ‘Only if it’s good for America’

(National SentinelMoving On: President Donald J. Trump praised Democrats for voting in favor of a three-week government funding extension to reopen a shuttered federal government, but warned that no “Dreamers” deal would be made unless it benefitted the country.

“I am pleased that Democrats in Congress have come to their senses and are now willing to fund our great military, border patrol, first responders, and insurance for vulnerable children,” Trump said in a statement released by the White House.

He added that he would continue working with lawmakers on an immigration reform measure that dealt with so-called DACA recipients, but only if Democrats agreed to his terms.

“We will make a long-term deal on immigration if, and only if, it is good for our country,” he said.

The White House revealed that Trump met with Senate Republicans to discuss “responsible” immigration reform after the Senate voted to fund the government.
