Citing politics, sanctuary cities and CRIME, there’s an EXODUS out of California

(National SentinelUnsustainable: In the past few years more people are leaving many California cities than coming, despite the lure of good-paying high-tech jobs and other opportunities.

There are a number of reasons for the net outflow of California’s residents, but the principal causes are the high cost of housing, illegal immigrant crime, and the state’s far-Left politics.

“I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same,” Carole Dabak, a retired engineer who’s lived in San Jose for 40 years, told local station KPIX.

She’s preparing to sell her home for about $1 million then buy a bigger home for less than half the price near Nashville, Tenn., where she has family and will retire.

Dabek cites crowding, crime, and politics as the reasons for her own exodus.

“We don’t like it here anymore. You know, we don’t like this sanctuary state status and just the politics here,” she said.

KPIX describes the outflow of people as a “mass exodus.”

Russell Hancock of Joint Venture Silicon Valley said, “Silicon Valley has been this place that is growing. And it was mostly growing because…people relocating here and relocating from other parts of the world. That’s changing.”

The company’s own survey found that people are moving to Sacramento, Austin and Portland, Oregon.

“You can’t even contemplate getting into the housing market here,” Hancock said. “And I don’t mean just service workers, I mean highly skilled professionals. The tech elite are having a hard time affording reasonable housing in Silicon Valley. So this is difficult, this makes it very difficult for employers trying to recruit.”

KPIX reported that nationwide the biggest migration centers are Phoenix, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Nashville.

Others who have left California have cited the state’s high taxes and growing number of homeless people living in the streets.

Learned: Minnesota public school forcing KINDERGARTEN students to study ‘WHITE privilege’

(National SentinelInstitutional Racism: Children in the Edina School District in Edina, Minnesota are introduced to the concept of “white privilege” in their classes, the Weekly Standard reported.

In particular, Kindergartners must take part in something called the Melanin Project in order to be taught about social justice and white privilege.

During the course of instruction, students are asked to draw an outline of their hand and then color them to reflect their skin tone.

Cut-outs of the traced hands are then put on a poster with these words: “Stop thinking your skin color is better than everyone elses!-(sic) Everyone is special!”

As further reported by the Western Journal:

The elementary school’s principal runs a blog for the school community and has reportedly posted pictures of Black Lives Matter propaganda and rainbow gay-pride flags.

Edina was formerly known for its “gold standard” public schools among the other state’s school districts, but a shift occurred in 2013 resulting in sliding high school test scores and fear of persecution among students.

School officials have adopted an “All for All” strategy for their academics, “a sweeping initiative that reordered the district’s mission from academic excellence for all students to ‘racial equity,’” according to the Weekly Standard.

“‘Equity’ in this context does not mean ‘equality’ or ‘fairness,’” the website note further. “It means racial identity politics — an ideology that blames minority students’ academic challenges on institutional racial bias, repudiates Martin Luther King, Jr.’s color-blind ideal, and focuses on uprooting ‘white privilege.’”

The web magazine noted further that a year-long English course required for 10th-graders centers on “the politicized themes of ‘Colonization,’ ‘Immigration’ and ‘Social Constructions of Race, Class and Gender.’”

After being forced to take the course, one student said the “Class should be renamed…with course description as, ‘Why white males are bad, and how oppressive they are,’” on Rate My Teachers.

POP: Trump’s approval rating better than OBAMA’s at same period in presidency

(National SentinelSurvey Says: Democrats and Left-leaning pundits are quick to note during any discussion about President Donald J. Trump’s agenda that he’s a “deeply unpopular” chief executive who has to work with the opposition party if he wants to govern.

But a new survey has, again, defied that narrative: The Rasmussen Daily Tracking survey, which was one of the few accurate polls during the 2016 campaign (it consistently had Trump ahead of his rival, Hillary Clinton), has Trump polling at 48 percent — four points higher than his predecessor at the same time in his term.

“The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove,” the polling firm said.

Granted, presidential approval ratings could always improve, but Trump’s ratings are high despite the fact that 90 percent of the media coverage during a recent three-month period of time was negative, and he’s endured personal attacks on a scale that is unprecedented.

Meanwhile, on February 7, 2010, President Obama had an approval rating of 44 percent according to the same polling firm, while 56 strongly disapproved.

And Obama’s media coverage was far less hostile.

Survey: Most Americans REJECT ‘mainstream’ media propaganda on economy; give TRUMP proper credit for our boom

(National SentinelWinning: A new survey has found that a majority of Americans are rejecting legacy media narratives that President Donald J. Trump’s policies are not responsible for its history-making growth.

According to a just-released poll by Quinnipiac University, Americans, regardless of their political persuasion, are now giving more credit to President Trump for fixing the economy than his predecessor.

The survey shows that 48 percent of respondents give Trump credit for the growing economy, compared to 41 percent who say growth is just an extension of policies put in place by former President Barack Obama.

Also, 51 percent say they are pleased with Trump’s handling of the economy, while 43 percent say they aren’t.

The survey comes amid conflicting reports in so-called “mainstream” and alternative media as to whose policies — Trump’s or Obama’s — should get the credit.

The anecdotal evidence suggests the former. Obama never experienced a 3-percent quarterly growth in gross domestic product (GDP) his entire eight-year presidency, while Trump has seen 3-plus percent in the past three quarters and is on pace to grow at a rate not seen since 2005.

“It could even grow at 3 percent for the year. The numbers are very strong,” Joseph LaVorgna, chief economist Americas at Natixis, told CNBC.

And though Wall Street has had a roller-coaster weeks, stocks are up on Wednesday and the markets have gained trillions in value overall since Trump was elected. That’s not simply good for corporations, it is also good for tens of millions of ordinary Americans’ market-based retirement plans.

Oddly, as The Hill noted, most Americans still believe that the tax cut plan passed by the GOP and signed by Trump is a bad thing. But the tax cuts for individuals will kick in this month, the IRS said, meaning that Americans will begin to see more money in their paychecks.

Not a single congressional Democrat voted for the tax cuts, which also slashed the corporate rate from 35 percent to 21 percent.

NFL linebacker Edwin Jackson allegedly MURDERED by illegal alien driving DRUNK

(National SentinelSenseless: A budding young linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts and his Uber driver were both allegedly mowed down and killed by an illegal alien who had been deported from the country twice.

According to various reports, the driver of the car, 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe, and his passenger, 26-year-old Colts Linebacker Edwin Jackson, were both killed. Police arrested a man who identified himself as Alex Cabrera Gonsales, a 37-year-old Mexican national after he allegedly crashed his black Ford F-150 into a car parked along Interstate 70 near Indianapolis.

Reports further noted that in reality, the suspect’s name is Manuel Orrego-Savala, a citizen of Guatemala. Records show he was deported once in 2007 and again in 2009. It’s unclear how long he’s been in the country this time.

Authorities believe Monroe was a rideshare operator who picked up Jackson and was taking him home. Monroe apparently pulled his car over to the shoulder to assist Jackson who had become ill.

Both were killed shortly thereafter when Savala allegedly smashed into their vehicle with his pickup truck.

The impact threw one of the victims into the center lane of the highway where he was later struck by another vehicle. The coroner’s office pronounced both victims dead at the scene of the crash.

Savala fled the scene on foot after the crash. Police spotted him a short while later on an interstate off-ramp and arrested him.

Jackson, nicknamed “Pound Cake,” recently completed his second season with the Colts. His death and the death Monroe come as Congress races to beat a March 5 deadline to pass legislation regarding so-called “Dreamers” brought into the U.S. illegally by their parents as children.

Trump is considering allowing them to stay but wants tougher border security including funding for his long-sought border wall, an end to chain migration, and changes to the visa lottery system — all of which Democrats and some Republicans oppose.

Chief of Staff and former Marine Gen. John Kelly to IDIOT Calif. teacher who called military members ‘dumbsh*ts’ — ‘He can GO TO HELL’

(National SentinelDirect Fire: President Donald J. Trump’s chief of staff, former Marine four-star Gen. John Kelly, had some words for a California teacher who told a student wearing a Marines shirt that members of the military are “dumbsh*ts.”

“I think the guy ought to go to hell,” Kelly said in an interview with Fox News‘ Brian Kilmeade regarding the teacher, Gregory Salcido, who also sits on the Pico Rivera City Council. “I hope he enjoys the liberties and the lifestyle that we have fought for.”

“They’re the frickin’ lowest of our low,” Salcido can be heard saying in one of the videos.

“We’ve got a bunch of dumbshits over there. Think about the people who you know who are over there — your freaking stupid uncle Louis or whatever, they’re dumbshits,” Salcido continued.

“They’re not, like, high-level thinkers, they’re not academic people, they’re not intellectual people, they’re the freaking lowest of our low,” Salcido can be heard saying.

The offended student who wanted to remain anonymous for fear of retribution from his classmates told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that he comes from a military family and felt Salcido’s rant was “disrespectful.”

The Daily Caller reported that since the incident Salcido has been placed on administrative leave.

State of DISORDER: Dems BOO, GROAN after Trump mentions MS-13 murder VICTIMS during State of the Union Address (Video)

(National SentinelClassless: President Donald J. Trump gave his first State of the Union Address before Congress and the nation Tuesday, during which he attempted to reach out to opposition Democrats on a number of occasions.

At one point during his speech, the subject turned to illegal immigration and the administration’s efforts to enforce immigration laws. Trump honored two families who were sitting with first lady Melania Trump and whose daughters were murdered by illegal alien members of the notorious MS-13 gang.

Trump invited Elizabeth Alvarado, Robert Mickens, Evelyn Rodriguez, and Freddy Cuevas to his State of the Union Address. They are the parents of Nisa Mickens and Kayla Cuevas, who had been close friends since elementary school.

They were chased down and murdered in September 2016 by the gang members.

When Trump mentioned that, some Democrats in the chamber booed.

Former Secret Service agent and conservative columnist and radio host Dan Bongino tweeted, “The has exposed the Democrats for what they are. They just booed the parents of a murdered child & they sat on their butts for the portion of the speech about respecting the National Anthem. Unreal.”

2ND ‘person of interest’ was sought in LAS VEGAS shooting case; criminal investigation ONGOING

(National SentinelMass Murder: A second “person of interest” was sought by authorities in connection with the Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas, according to newly released search warrant records.

As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which — along with other media outlets — sought the release of some 300 court documents, the papers show for the first time that police and FBI investigators sought to question another suspect in the horrific murders.

“Until the investigation can rule otherwise, Marilou Danley and Douglas Haig have become persons of interest who may have conspired with Stephen Paddock to commit Murder with a Deadly Weapon,” according to the Metropolitan Police Department document, which was prepared in October.

Danley was the girlfriend of primary shooting suspect Stephen Paddock and was initially sought as a suspect in the case. She has since been ruled out by authorities as being connected with the shootings, which took place on the 32 floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.

Haig, however, has not previously been revealed as a suspect. The LVRJ said he could not be reached for comment.

The paper contacted Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo by phone on Tuesday to comment on Haig. However, he only said, “If you’ve got it, publish it.” He said he could not comment on a federal case.

FBI officials also did not comment.

During a Jan. 20 press briefing, Lombardo said authorities the FBI had an open investigation into a person of interest, though he said repeatedly that Paddock was the only shooter. He also said he doesn’t expect any charges to be filed against Danley.

“I know and believe there was only one suspect who killed 58 people and injured hundreds more,” Lombardo said. “All the evidence recovered in this case supports that theory. There was one shooter in the 1 October massacre. There was only one person responsible, and that was Stephen Paddock.”

The paper reported that Paddock’s brother, Eric Paddock, said he’d never heard of Haig.

“Authorities in Las Vegas have said that while Stephen Paddock acted alone in killing 58 people at the music festival before killing himself in his Mandalay Bay suite, possible criminal charges are still being investigated,” the LVRJ reported.

Update: [12:32 p.m. CST] Haig broke his silence and gave an interview to the UK’s Daily Mail, in which he said he only met Paddock once to sell him tracer ammunition, which Paddock used in his mass shooting. “He showed up. He told me exactly what he wanted. I handed him a box with the ammunition in it. He paid me and he left,” he said.

Gingrich on Trump: He ‘won’t give up on putting America FIRST’

(National SentinelPresidential: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich reaffirmed his support for President Donald J. Trump on Monday during an appearance on Fox News, while poking fun at failed Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton over her appearance on the Grammy Awards show Sunday.

“[Trump’s] not going to give up putting America first. He’s not going to give up fighting for small business, fighting for deregulation, fighting for lower taxes. But I think he has learned over the last year,” Gingrich said Monday on “Fox & Friends.”

“He’s had a year now to be president. He’s clearly learned a lot of lessons. There’s no reason for him to know coming into office, the differences between a billionaire in business and being the president of the United States.”

“I always said he is a very smart guy,” Gingrich added. “He didn’t get to be that wealthy by being stupid. He didn’t beat 16 Republicans in the primaries by being stupid.”

He then noted that Trump’s incredible first-year successes have made Clinton politically irrelevant while at the same time leaving Democrats unhinged.

“Just think about this weekend, Hillary Clinton on TV sadly reading out of a weird book, while Donald Trump is preparing a state of the union,” Gingrich noted.

“That’s not a world anybody on the left thought was possible. And so I think he can afford to be generous and say, let’s find a way to work together.”

Reports say Trump is likely to reach out to Democrats in his speech Tuesday night — his first State of the Union Address — in an effort at reconciliation, but it isn’t clear whether they will respond in kind.

Several Democrats have already said they are boycotting the address, which will be given to a joint session of Congress and televised live.

Dems cry ‘RACISM’ over White House DACA compromise bill; multicultural MAJORITY of voters cry ‘WE WANT IT’

(National SentinelTone Deaf: A majority of Democrats have already come out against what is being billed as a potential “DACA compromise” from the White House that the administration believes will be enough to get the plan over the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold.

But a number of Democrats have accused the plan of being racist, authored by “white supremacists” in the administration.

“Let’s call this proposal for what it is: a white supremacist ransom note,” United We Dream, the largest “immigrant youth network” in the country,  said in a statement. “Trump and [White House aide] Stephen Miller killed DACA and created the crisis that immigrant youth are facing. They have taken immigrant youth hostage, pitting us against our own parents, Black immigrants and our communities in exchange for our dignity.”

“It would be far cheaper to erect a 50-foot concrete statue of a middle finger and point it towards Latin America,” tweeted racialist Trump critic Rep. Luis Gutierrez of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Thursday afternoon. “Both a wall and the statue would be equally offensive and equally ineffective and both would express Trump’s deeply held suspicion of Latinos.”

But those opinions are far outside of those held by a majority of Americans, regardless of ethnicity.

Survival gear

The Daily Caller reported:

A Harvard-Harris poll released earlier this week found that 81 percent of voters support reducing annual immigration from its current level of more than 1 million per year, including 63 percent who want it cut by at least half.

Nearly 70 percent of all voters think the green card lottery, which randomly allots 50,000 immigrant visas to people from countries with low immigration to the U.S., is a bad idea. That figure includes 62 percent of Democratic voters, 61 percent of Hispanic voters, and 57 percent of black voters, according to the Harvard-Harris Poll.

As for border security, the administration’s proposal to build a physical wall along the entire U.S.-Mexico border has struggled to crack 50 percent support among all voters. But a majority of voters — 54 percent — support building a “combination of physical and electronic barriers” across the southwest border. That description lines up with the public statements of top administration officials, including Trump himself, who have conceded that a contiguous border wall is not necessary.

Finally, rolling all of the border security and immigration reforms into a deal that gives DACA recipients a path to citizenship, as the White House immigration framework does, is an overwhelmingly popular plan. The Harvard-Harris poll found that two-thirds of all voters favor such a deal, including 68 percent of Hispanic voters and 64 percent of black voters.

Reports have noted that President Donald J. Trump is supportive of the plan, which would allow DACA recipients to “morph” into citizens over a decade. But there’s no indication yet what the final legislation would look like.

California Dems NEXT big worry is thanks to TRUMP, GOP

(National SentinelExodus: California Democrats are worried about what they think will turn into a mass exodus of wealthy people from the state thanks in large part to the Republican tax reform legislation President Donald J. Trump signed last month.

As part of the tax reform measure, the law limits the amount of deductions wealthy Californians can take off their federal taxes, including limits on property taxes, which are high in the Golden State.

“People with higher incomes pay a lot more money, and some of them may be tempted to leave,” Gov. Jerry Brown said when he unveiled his 2018-19 budget proposal last week. “This was an assault by the Republicans in Congress against California.”

Republicans denied that, saying that the reform measure, instead, should force Democrats and their voters to reconsider the effects of higher taxation.

Already California Democrats are looking for ways to circumvent the new federal tax law. Senate President pro tem Kevin de León authored legislation that will allow state residents to take their state property taxes off of their federal taxes by listing them as charitable contributions.

It’s already cleared committees and is headed for a vote on the Senate floor.

The Trump IRS, however, said that won’t pass legal muster.

Notes the Sacramento Bee:

Democratic state lawmakers are worried because California relies so heavily on the income taxes it collects from high earners to fund government services. The state’s wealthiest 1 percent, for instance, pay 48 percent of its income tax, and the departure of just a few families could lead to a noticeable hit to state general fund revenue.

“It is a genuine concern and that’s why the legislatures in high-tax states are swinging into action immediately,” Katie Pratt, a professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles who specializes in taxes, told the paper.

“The new tax law is kind of like icing on the cake for some who were thinking about moving out of the state,” said Fiona Ma, a Democrat on the tax-collecting Board of Equalization who is running for state treasurer. “If they don’t have to stay here because of work or family, it doesn’t give them a lot of incentive.”

Trump admin planning BIGGEST roundup of ILLEGAL aliens in DECADES in ‘sanctuary state’ of California

(National SentinelLaw Enforcement: The Trump administration is planning to send hundreds of immigration agents to California as part of a massive operation to locate and deport people in the country illegally.

As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, the “massive sweep” is intended to send a message to the state and other “sanctuary cities” that the administration is serious about enforcing federal immigration laws.

“U.S. immigration officials have begun preparing for a major sweep in San Francisco and other Northern California cities in which federal officers would look to arrest more than 1,500 undocumented people while sending a message that immigration policy will be enforced in the sanctuary state, according to a source familiar with the operation,” the paper reported.

“The campaign, centered in the Bay Area, could happen within weeks, and is expected to become the biggest enforcement action of its kind under President Trump, said the source, who requested anonymity because the plans have not been made public,” the paper added.

Democrat-dominated California passed “sanctuary state” legislation last fall, which forbids state and local law enforcement officials from cooperating with federal immigration authorities. Gov. Jerry Brown signed it and it took effect Jan. 1.

Federal immigration officials including ICE Director Thomas Homan criticized the law and called a dangerous precedent for other states.

He has also called on the Justice Department to look into ways it could hold officials of sanctuary jurisdictions criminally liable. On Tuesday Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielson confirmed during a Senate hearing that her agency had indeed been in contact with federal prosecutors to see what legal actions could be taken against local officials who implement and uphold sanctuary laws.

“The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available,” Nielsen revealed to Senate Judiciary Committee members.

NYC filed suit against oil companies over ‘global warming/climate change,’ but now it’s been FACK-CHECKED

(National SentinelFalse Narrative: In a bid to fleece American and Western oil companies under the guise of claiming they are responsible for global warming-climate change, New York City file suit against them last week.

But now, one of the climate researchers targeted by Mayor Bill DeBlasio’s suit is firing back, pointing out that the legal argument — oil companies are part of a grand scheme to mask their role in warming by silencing climate scientists — is factually incorrect in several places.

Canadian economist Ross McKitrick said in a lengthy statement he published online that the “complaint contains numerous untrue statements about matters on which I have direct personal knowledge.”

“The idea that this work was done at the instigation of, or under payment from, Exxon or any other corporation either directly or indirectly through the Fraser Institute or any other group is wholly false,” McKitrick said.

The suit, filed earlier this month, seeks major monetary ‘damages’ for alleged environmental harm caused by the oil companies.

Democrats including DeBlasio are joining a spreading legal movement to extract money from oil giants, while divesting municipal pension funds of oil company profits.

“As climate change continues to worsen, it’s up to the fossil fuel companies whose greed put us in this position to shoulder the cost of making New York safer and more resilient,” de Blasio said in a statement.

Left-wing environmental groups are cheering the lawsuits. They, too, claim that oil companies have engaged in a conspiracy to fund “deniers” in the climate science community to refute thus-far unproven, unsubstantiated claims that there is a scientific link between human activity such as the burning of fossil fuels and climate change.

At one point in their suit, NYC lawyers state “Exxon sponsored its own bogus scientific research by paying $120,000 over the course of two years” to the Fraser Institute, a conservative Canadian think tank.

The suit states that money went toward debunking the “hockey stick” graph created by climate scientist Michael Mann. The rebuttal “was rushed into print, without peer review and, in a departure from the standard scientific practice, without offering Dr. Mann and his co-authors an opportunity to respond prior to publication,” the suit adds.

“McIntyre and McKitrick paper was subsequently debunked, but the smear of Dr. Mann’s work remains available on the web today and continues to be cited by climate deniers. Exxon’s promotion by deception thus lives on,” it added.

Not so, says McKitrick, an economist at the University of Guelph.

He said Exxon did not pay him for any research, and that his work was subsequently published in peer-reviewed journals.

“The Fraser Institute was not involved with the hockey stick project and to the best of my knowledge they knew nothing about it until after it was published,” he said. “While I was a Senior Fellow of the Fraser Institute in 2003-04 this was an unpaid affiliation.”

“Our 2003 Energy and Environment paper was peer reviewed,” McKitrick said. “Regarding the issue of offering Mann a prior chance to respond, we had corresponded with Mann regarding problems we encountered replicating his results but he cut off the correspondence.”

He further noted that the suit’s claim his paper was “subsequently debunked” came from a climate science blog where Mann is also a contributor, not a peer-reviewed study.

The suit is “an empty and worthless attempt to deceive the court as to the disposition of a debate that went on for several more years.”

California now leads the country! (In POVERTY)

(National SentinelSetting Records: The most populous state in the country, replete with entertainment and technology millionaires and billionaires, also has the highest per capita poverty rates, new data shows.

“Guess which state has the highest poverty rate in the country? Not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia, but California, where nearly one out of five residents is poor,” says an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times.

“That’s according to the Census Bureau’s Supplemental Poverty Measure, which factors in the cost of housing, food, utilities and clothing, and which includes noncash government assistance as a form of income,” the paper said.

There has been decent job growth in California along with associated prosperity in a number of industries, but still, residents of the state are falling behind in terms of net worth.

The state’s per-capita Gross Domestic Product has increased more than two-fold compared to the national average over five years ending in 2016 — 12.5 percent statewide compared with 6.27 percent nationally.

Given robust job growth and the prosperity generated by several industries, it’s worth asking why California has fallen behind, especially when the state’s per-capita GDP increased approximately twice as much as the U.S. average over the five years ending in 2016 (12.5%, compared with 6.27%).

The op-ed notes that Democrats who run the state have not neglected the poor, per se, but that hasn’t mattered.

“It’s not as though California policymakers have neglected to wage war on poverty. Sacramento and local governments have spent massive amounts in the cause. Several state and municipal benefit programs overlap with one another; in some cases, individuals with incomes 200% above the poverty line receive benefits,” it said.

“California state and local governments spent nearly $958 billion from 1992 through 2015 on public welfare programs, including cash-assistance payments, vendor payments and ‘other public welfare,’ according to the Census Bureau. California, with 12 percent of the American population, is home today to about one in three of the nation’s welfare recipients,” the paper noted.

So, though there has been “generous spending,” it has “not only failed to decrease poverty; it actually seems to have made it worse,” the op-ed noted further.

Other factors are at play as well. California’s restrictions on land use, combined with environmental regulations make housing unaffordable for many. Also, the state is bureaucrat-heavy, employing 883,000 full-time-equivalent state and local employees in 2014.

Notes Michael Walsh at PJ Media:

The progressives who control every aspect of the state’s government are not necessarily stupid people, but they are malign. They understand that increasing welfare spending only encourages the arrival of more recipients on whom to spend it, and the high likelihood that those new constituents will vote Democrat as soon as they are able, legally or otherwise.

They’re not “misguided” — in fact, they’re doing exactly what the progressives designed them to do.

It’s a perfect racket, and one that will continue unless and until the California Republicans get their act together and begin vigorously contesting what has become a one-party state designed to enrich those at the top, beggar the middle class, and keep those on the bottom in permanent penury.

“Aren’t Democrats the ones who lecture conservatives and libertarians about income inequality?” said The National Sentinel editor-in-chief J. D. Heyes. “Seems to me they’re the ones perpetuating it in what they claim is a progressive model for the rest of the country.

“If this doesn’t prove to people what a failure Marxist, progressive economic policies really are, then nothing will,” he added.

SHOCKER: Kids put into STORM drains in Hawaii during FAKE missile alert (Video)

(National SentinelFalse Alarm: Hawaiian emergency management officials apologized profusely Saturday after a missile attack alert was mistakenly broadcast to residents, sending many scrambling for cover.

In the aftermath of the warning, in which emergency management officials took nearly 40 minutes to correct, videos posted online show panicked parents instructing their children to climb down into dank storm drains.

Residents of the state have been on edge in recent weeks amid ongoing nuclear and ballistic missile tests by North Korea.

The hermit nation tested an ICBM last fall that experts believe has the range to strike Hawaii and other U.S. states. It’s not clear that North Korea has perfected the technology to actually place a nuclear warhead on an ICBM, but U.S. intelligence agencies say if that hasn’t happened yet, they expect it will soon.

Here is one video of a child being placed in a storm drain:

Other residents sought shelter in various places.

The Federal Communications Commission announced Saturday it will be conducting a full investigation into the incident. The agency has jurisdiction over emergency broadcast systems.

“Emergency alerts are meant to keep us and our families safe, not to create false panic. We must investigate and we must do better,” said FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel.

Hawaiian Gov. David Ige said the mistake was human error, adding that a worker pushed the “wrong button” at shift change.
