Bannon: ‘Why are McConnell, Ryan letting DEMS investigate TRUMP?’

(National SentinelSwamp: Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon believes that Republican leaders in Congress are helping Democrats nullify President Donald J. Trump’s victory by allowing what he believes are politically motivated investigations against him to continue.

“The nullification of this election, I don’t think is coming from the Left,” Bannon told Charlie Rose in an interview that was released in full Tuesday night.

Portions of the interview aired on “60 Minutes” on Sunday, which included Bannon saying he does not think that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconson want the president’s “populist, economic nationalist agenda to be implemented.”

In the full interview, Bannon said, “Not only do you have a special prosecutor and the Justice Department and a couple of grand juries. You have on Capitol Hill … with Republican leadership, you have three separate committees.

“You have, I think, two in the Senate and one in the House,” Bannon said in reference to the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees and the House Intelligence Committee. “And they are investigating him and sending out subpoenas, and they’ve had some big breaks already.”

As noted by The Daily Caller:

The House Intelligence Committee has received a cache of documents from the Trump Organization, the Senate Judiciary Committee has questioned Donald Trump Jr, and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“Principally the Republican leadership has allowed three committees to go and principally be run by Democrats,” Bannon said.

“I think [California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff] is running the House committee … looks like [Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner] is running the Senate committee and not [Republican North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr].”

Circa News’ Sara Carter wonders why Congress isn’t investigating Obama’s unprecedented political espionage

(National SentinelPolitical Abuse: Without question, former President Barack Obama heavily politicized the Justice Department, the federal courts and the nation’s intelligence apparatus, unleashing Left-wing sycophants on opponents throughout his tenure.

read-here-first-FO-160x600In the final year of his presidency, he turned the full weight of these weaponized agencies against the campaign of then-GOP nominee Donald J. Trump, as has been well-documented.

However, the only one under serious investigation for alleged political chicanery is the Trump administration, and Circa News‘ Sara Carter — who has done yeoman’s work documenting Obama’s political abuses — wonders why his former administration is not under Congress’ microscope.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, Carter said she believes Congress needs to launch an investigation into Obama-era unmasking and warrantless surveillance of Americans — which was unprecedented.

The site reported:

She was one of the first reporters to reveal Obama administration political espionage, and unprecedented unmasking and surveillance of Americans by using the national security apparatus. The Obama administration loosened the privacy protections for innocent Americans in 2011 – including accessing information from priests, attorney/client relationships, and doctors, she said.

The administration scoured Americans’ private conversations “at an exponential rate,” she said. From 2011 to January 2017, the unmasking increased over 300 percent. She also revealed the Obama administration was accessing emails at a rate of one out of every 20 Americans, an incredible 5 percent of citizens.

With reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) reauthorization before Congress, Carter believes Congress needs a full investigation into the unmasking that she has revealed.

She believes Congress should subpoena Obama officials Susan Rice, Samantha Power and John Brennan as well as understand who was unmasked, why and what they were looking for, as she does not think it was national security-related.

Carter, whose “beat” is national security, said she hasn’t seen an iota of evidence — no “fire” — implicating Trump campaign “collusion” with Russia to “steal the election” from Hillary Clinton. She did say that because of Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016, after she promised Russian government-supplied dirt on Clinton, indicated there was at least some “smoke” surrounding the allegations.

And she also dropped this: There is “evidence of money changing hands with Hillary Clinton’s team and the Russians,” via the Clinton Foundation. She also said she believes that investigation is ongoing.

The Daily Caller:

Carter also revealed in this video interview what she is hearing from within the FBI about the politicized Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who has long standing animus against Michael Flynn and others.

Carter told TheDCNF during the interview the concern about many insiders who are working against Trump’s policies and plans, some of whom supported Hillary Clinton or Obama. Some Trump officials, surprisingly enough, are even boasting publicly of thwarting Trump’s agenda.

Gowdy slams Dems who suggest ‘evidence’ of Trump-Russia ‘collusion’ as ‘reckless,’ ‘baseless’

(National SentinelCongress: Newly-minted chairman of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., hit back at Democrats on Capitol Hill who continue to suggest, despite no evidence, that President Donald J. Trump did something nefarious with the Russians.

Organic-Storable-Food-Supply-MR“There are members of both the House and the Senate who [say] ‘I’ve seen evidence that is more than circumstantial, but not direct,'” Gowdy told Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson. “There is no way it can be more than circumstantial but not direct.”

He called them “reckless, baseless allegations.”

Gowdy, who also serves on the House intelligence committee investigating possible connections between Russian officials and members of the Trump campaign, said a member of that committee “said this week that he has seen evidence [but] he can’t tell us what it is [and] it’s not beyond a reasonable doubt.

“There’s no way to defend yourself against those kinds of baseless, reckless accusations,” he added.

He was very likely referring to the Intelligence Committee’s out-of-control ranking member, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who told ABC‘s “This Week” that “I think there is evidence” of Trump colluding with Moscow.

“I can’t go into the particulars of our closed investigation,” Schiff said, “but I also think there is evidence of obstruction [of justice]. But in both cases, I would say, whether there is some evidence doesn’t mean there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt.”

The obstruction case Democrats think they have has been debunked time and again by real constitutional experts. And as for the never-ending Russia probe, Democrats need it to continue so they can keep the support of their own unhinged base, whom they have all but promised Trump’s impeachment over these alleged ‘crimes.’

Gowdy also said that the “hyper-focus” so-called ‘collusion,’ which is just a very small portion of the House’s Russia investigation, can be blamed squarely on the far-Left media establishment.

He also said the House is looking at these things: Active Russian interference (a subset of that is the collusion angle); the U.S. response (which would have been the Obama administration’s responsibility); and the leaks and unmasking of Americans caught up in foreign surveillance.
