Bannon: ‘Why are McConnell, Ryan letting DEMS investigate TRUMP?’

(National SentinelSwamp: Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon believes that Republican leaders in Congress are helping Democrats nullify President Donald J. Trump’s victory by allowing what he believes are politically motivated investigations against him to continue.

“The nullification of this election, I don’t think is coming from the Left,” Bannon told Charlie Rose in an interview that was released in full Tuesday night.

Portions of the interview aired on “60 Minutes” on Sunday, which included Bannon saying he does not think that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconson want the president’s “populist, economic nationalist agenda to be implemented.”

In the full interview, Bannon said, “Not only do you have a special prosecutor and the Justice Department and a couple of grand juries. You have on Capitol Hill … with Republican leadership, you have three separate committees.

“You have, I think, two in the Senate and one in the House,” Bannon said in reference to the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees and the House Intelligence Committee. “And they are investigating him and sending out subpoenas, and they’ve had some big breaks already.”

As noted by The Daily Caller:

The House Intelligence Committee has received a cache of documents from the Trump Organization, the Senate Judiciary Committee has questioned Donald Trump Jr, and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“Principally the Republican leadership has allowed three committees to go and principally be run by Democrats,” Bannon said.

“I think [California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff] is running the House committee … looks like [Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner] is running the Senate committee and not [Republican North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr].”

Former Trump chief of staff Priebus adds NEW details from McCabe meeting; says former deputy director assured him Trump-Russia ‘collusion’ narrative ‘TOTAL BS’ (Video)

(National SentinelFake News: President Donald J. Trump’s former chief of staff, Reince Priebus, gave new details on Sunday about a February 2017 conversation he had with former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe regarding the so-called “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia.

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Priebus said that McCabe walked into his office on Feb. 14, closed the door, and told him in no uncertain terms that a New York Times report about alleged contacts between Trump campaign aides and Russian intelligence was “BS.”

That meeting wound up being controversial because subsequent leaks to the media claimed that Priebus pressured McCabe for the FBI to publicly admit that the Trump campaign and Russia were not colluding.

As The Daily Caller reported:

On Feb. 24, CNN published a report citing multiple unnamed sources who said that the FBI rejected the request from McCabe, who left his job as deputy director earlier this week. The article, which has been heavily edited since publication, initially framed the White House and Priebus in a negative light by suggesting that Priebus took a proactive step to ask McCabe to rebut the Times report.

“The direct communications between the White House and the FBI were unusual because of decade-old restrictions on such contacts. Such a request from the White House is a violation of procedures that limit communications with the FBI on pending investigations,” the article noted.

Following the CNN report the White House clarified that McCabe had informed Priebus that the Times report was not accurate.

On Sunday, Priebus told “Meet the Press” that McCabe “walked into my office, shut my door and basically told me that The New York Times story that was in the paper, that first came out in February that said there are constant contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians, with the door closed, looked at me and said ‘I want you to know that this story right here is total BS. It’s overstated and it’s not true.’”

“This is the deputy director of the FBI. I didn’t know who he was, it’s the middle of February,” Priebus added.

The former chief of staff and head of the Republican National Committee also said he never saw any collusion and that Trump never once said he wanted to fire special counsel Robert Mueller.

“I never felt that I was involved in something nefarious the whole way through, from the beginning to the end. So you can understand the frustration of the President when he’s told he’s not under investigation,” Priebus said.

Memo to Deep Statist John McCain: YOU are ‘helping Putin’ with this bogus ‘Russia collusion’ probe YOU HELPED START

By J. D. Heyes, editor-in-chief

(National SentinelAid and Abet: There is one thing we can deduce from Friday’s release of the infamous “FISA memo,” thanks to heroes and champions of government accountability and transparency in Congress and the White House: It’s now confirmed that the Obama administration was the most corrupt in the history of our country.

There’s no denying that, despite the fact that Democrats continue to do so and will continue to do so for as long as they draw a breath.

But they’re not the only enemies of government and political accountability. Not by a long shot. In fact, one of their best allies is in the U.S. Senate, and — technically speaking anyway — he’s not even a member of their party.

That would be Deep Statist Sen. John McCain, RINO-Arizona. Rather than cheer the release of the memo, which revealed serial abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by upper echelon officials in the FBI and Justice Department to prevent Donald J. Trump from becoming president, and to undermine him after he defeated Hillary Clinton in November 2016, he criticized it.

“The latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice serve no American interests – no party’s, no president’s, only [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s,” McCain said in a statement. “Our nation’s elected officials, including the president, must stop looking at this investigation through the warped lens of politics and manufacturing partisan sideshows. If we continue to undermine our own rule of law, we are doing Putin’s job for him.”

Why would he do that? Well, for one, McCain is a #nevertrumper; ever since the president insulted his Vietnam service, most of which was spent in a brutal North Vietnamese prison, the senior Arizona senator has had it in for Trump. (Granted, Trump shouldn’t have done that, but lest we forget, McCain had already begun savaging his presidential bid, so our president — always the counter-puncher — hit back.)

For another, let’s not forget that McCain gave his Deep State buddy former FBI director James Comey a copy of the bogus “Trump dossier” — the same one that was misrepresented as “intelligence” and used to secure an October 2016 surveillance warrant from the FISA court so the bureau could spy on the Trump campaign.

As reported by The National Sentinel:

…[A]s many suspected, the discredited and unverified “Trump dossier” was used not once but on three separate occasions to secure a FISA court surveillance warrant to allow the Obama administration to spy on Team Trump during his campaign.

As Fox News added, the FISA memo also “includes testimony from a high-ranking government official who says without the infamous Trump dossier, the FBI and DOJ would not have secured surveillance warrants to spy on at least one member of the Trump team.”

The memo further pointed out that in December 2017, then-FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information.” (Related: SHAMELESS: No Democrats or left-leaning publishers denounce shocking abuses of power detailed in FISA memo release)

Think about that. McCain helped to enable the whole thing. McCain helped enable illegal spying on an American citizen — former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor Carter Page — by supplying the dossier to the FBI.

So Obama could spy on the presidential nominee of his own party.

“The ‘dossier’ compiled by Christopher Steele (Steele dossier) on behalf of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Hillary Clinton campaign formed an essential part of the Carter Page FISA application,” the memo states.

“Steele was a longtime FBI source who was paid over $160,000 by the DNC and Clinton campaign, via the law firm Perkins Coie and research fir Fusion GPS, to obtain derogatory information on Donald Trump?s ties to Russia,” it continued.

How likely is it that McCain — still butt-hurt over Trump’s insult — didn’t know the dossier was a political document, that it was just opposition research and not actual intelligence?

In his statement, McCain claimed that releasing the memo was “helping Putin” to ‘undermine our democracy.” Actually, senator, saddling our president with fake charges of “Russian collusion” have helped Putin “undermine our democracy.”

Which means Deep Statists like you are helping the enemy — not Trump.

Trump on FISA memo’s revelations: ‘I think it’s a disgrace’; president MUST pardon anyone caught up in crosshairs of special counsel Mueller

By J. D. Heyes, editor-in-chief

(National SentinelClean House: As you might have guessed, President Donald J. Trump — the subject of one the biggest political hit jobs in the history of the republic — was none too happy about the findings of the House Intelligence Committee contained in the so-called “FISA memo” released on Friday.

“I think it’s terrible,” Trump said, as quoted by The Associated Press. “You want to know the truth. I think it’s a disgrace. What’s going on in this country, I think it’s a disgrace.”

As reported by NewsTarget, the memo reveals “serial abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by upper echelon officials in the FBI and Justice Department to prevent [Trump] from becoming president, and to undermine him after he defeated Hillary Clinton in November 2016.”

The four-page memo goes on, noting that Clinton, several U.S. media outlets, top-ranking figures within DOJ and FBI including some that are still serving, and others conspired to create a bogus “dossier” full of false and salacious charges that purportedly came from Russian “sources,” and then pretend it was a legitimate intelligence document in order to secure a top-secret surveillance warrant so the Obama regime could spy on the Trump campaign. (Related: FISA memo released — bombshell report reveals MASSIVE Deep State conspiracy to keep Donald Trump out of the White House)

These same people knew that the dossier — which was paid for by the Clinton campaign through a third-party law firm (because ol’ Hill is so cloak-and-dagger) — was just a political document, not real intelligence.

So yeah, it certainly is a “disgrace” all of this happened.

But it goes much deeper than that. It’s also criminal. At least it has been so far for Carter Page, the principal Trump campaign official put under surveillance by political appointees and others within the DOJ and FBI. And former national security advisor Michael Flynn, indicted and convicted of “lying” to the FBI. And others caught up in this web of deceit.

But it’s also criminal because certain officials within the FBI and DOJ willfully misrepresented “evidence” before a federal court — the FISA court — in order to obtain a surveillance warrant so they could improperly spy on an American citizen.

Like the Gestapo, or Stasi, or KGB.

There is no other choice for the president: He must fire Robert Mueller, whose appointment was also based on this same bogus information; he must fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who signed off on the bogus FISA warrant application at least twice and who appointed Mueller knowing the Trump dossier was opposition research and not intelligence; and he must pardon Flynn (and maybe Page someday) since they have were ensnared in a political operation.

Deep State WAR against TRUMP proves how out-of-control our government REALLY IS

By J. D. Heyes, editor-in-chief

(National SentinelSubversive: Days before President-elect Donald J. Trump was inaugurated, Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer of New York issued a warning to the incoming commander-in-chief: Don’t pick a fight with the U.S. intelligence community.

Specifically, Schumer was responding to Trump’s criticism of reports that U.S. intelligence agencies had clear evidence that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Trump defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, ostensibly because Moscow ‘didn’t like Clinton.’

During a January 2017 interview on reliably statist and Left-wing MSNBC, Schumer said the president-elect was being “really dumb” in ‘picking a fight’ with the intelligence community.

“Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” Schumer cryptically said. “So, even for a practical, supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he’s being really dumb to do this.”

Think about that for a moment. Here was an establishment politician — a Democrat, sure, but more than anything else an establishment politician — admitting that the Deep State was more powerful than the president of the United States, the person to which the intelligence community is supposed to answer (as well as the American people).

Schumer was also tacitly admitting that the intelligence community — part and parcel of the Deep State — was also more powerful than Congress, which is supposed to have oversight responsibility.

How could that be? How could it be that the intelligence apparatus of the United States has become a power unto itself, beyond the scope of the Executive Branch and beyond the control of Congress?

Could it be that over the years and decades, there was an intentional effort by past presidents and members of the political establishment in both parties to establish the intelligence community as the de facto head of the country? Because for all intents and purposes, it now is.

As noted in a December 2016 analysis, intelligence community’s narrative that Trump and Russia ‘colluded’ to ‘steal the election’ from Hillary Clinton because President Vladimir Putin had a personal animus against her never made any sense. We now know why (though we suspected even back then): The Clintons have so many nefarious, nebulous ties to Putin and his government she would, as president, be beholden to anything he wanted. She would have become the Russian mole in the White House.

But instead, we’ve been lead to believe it’s Trump who’s the Manchurian president. And it’s all been based on a narrative that has been manufactured by a politicized U.S. justice system, FBI, and Deep State intelligence apparatus. (Related: DEEP STATE: Rep. Jordan says FBI paid for, then based its Team Trump probe on BOGUS ‘dossier’.)

Republicans in Congress increasingly believe, for instance, that the Obama administration — nay, the former president himself — was behind a plot to destroy Trump’s candidacy, then his presidency after he unexpectedly beat Clinton in November 2016. We’re discovering more and more by the day now, as ours and other alternative media outlets publish more information about how the Obama regime manipulated the FISA court to obtain a surveillance warrant so they could spy on Trump’s campaign.

We’re discovering that the so-called “Trump dossier” was likely used to justify that warrant, despite the fact that is complete garbage. We’re learning that operatives within the FBI and Justice Department were involved in its creation. We’ve learned that it was originally supposed to be opposition research, paid for by Trump’s opponent.

And, we’re likely to learn that Obama was orchestrating all of it, which — if true — proves that the Deep State not only exists, but that it’s a super-nationalist force that operates outside of the confines of the Constitution, Congress, and even the presidency itself.

There is much more to come regarding this subject. Stay tuned. Read for more details.

‘Jaw-dropping’ text from STRZOK: ‘No there there’ re: Trump-Russia COLLUSION

(National SentinelWitch Hunt: Disgraced FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Stzrok sent a text message to his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page last year expressing reservations about joining special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Though he did eventually join Mueller’s team — only to be dismissed after discovery of anti-Trump texts he and Page exchanged — it appears as though Strzok did not believe the allegations to be true.

That, says Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, is “jaw-dropping.”

In an interview with a local talk radio host, Johnson read the text aloud: “You and I both know the odds are nothing. If I thought it was likely, I’d be there no question. I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern that there’s no big there there.”

Johnson said that text referred directly to Mueller’s investigation, which had begun two days earlier. Prior to that, Strzok was a top investigator on the Clinton email inquiry, which went nowhere.

“I think that’s kind of jaw-dropping,” said Johnson.

“In other words, Peter Strzok, who was the FBI deputy assistant director of the counterintelligence division, the man who had a plan to do something because he just couldn’t abide Donald Trump being president, is saying that his gut sense is that there’s no big there there when it comes to the Mueller special counsel investigation,” he said.

President Donald J. Trump has always viewed the investigation as a distraction and a “witch hunt.” He has regularly claimed the same thing as Strzok — that there is no evidence of collusion because none took place.

Last week Republicans began pushing for the House Intelligence Committee and the White House to release a memo allegedly detailing systematic abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, or FISC, by the Obama administration.

Republicans believe that various operatives within the Department of Justice and FBI used the unverified “Trump dossier” to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign.

Some Republicans, including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, believe the so-called FISA memo drafted by the Intelligence Committee will prove that Mueller’s investigation is a “sham.”

“I believe that once the American people have the opportunity to evaluate the allegations and claims in this memo, it will become evident the activities of the last administration, the crimes I believe were committed, and the total sham that this Mueller investigation is, built on a false premise and rotten to the core,” he told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.

Here’s PROOF that CNN’s constant TRUMP hate has NO impact on the American people

(National SentinelIrrelevant: For a year, CNN has been laser-focused on the alleged “collusion” scandal between the campaign of President Donald J. Trump and the Russian government.

The network has covered the issue from every angle imaginable, at times publishing or broadcasting information that turned out to be totally false.

On Sunday one of the network’s reported admitted, however, that CNN‘s continued coverage of a ‘scandal’ for which no evidence has yet to substantiate is having little impact with the American people.

“I’m so interested to see how the Russia investigation affects things, because so far, out in these districts when you talk to people about Russia, and that’s all we talk about at CNN basically, they say they don’t care,” Maeve Reston, a national politics reporter for the network, said on “Inside Politics.”

“It doesn’t have any effect on their lives,” he continued.

Reston’s network, along with MSNBC, have both focused heavily on the collusion scandal. But in recent weeks, there has been an emerging body of evidence that the collusion narrative was a hoax created by the Obama administration to help Hillary Clinton and defeat, or undermine, Trump.

Reston also noted on Sunday that in her interviews with voters, she is witnessing a growing confidence in the economy during Trump’s first year in office.

“You are starting to see that uneasiness about the economy sort of dissipate,” she said, as reported by The Daily Caller.

“Remember, even in 2016 when we went out to these swing states and talked to voters, there was still this fear that things were suddenly going to turn down again,” she continued. “You don’t feel that as much anymore.”

Former federal prosecutor details Obama’s ‘BRAZEN PLOT’ to exonerate Hillary Clinton and ‘FRAME’ Donald Trump (Video)

(National SentinelObamagate: A former federal prosecutor said in an interview it is beginning to look a lot like the Obama administration launched a plot to ensure that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton would not only win the 2016 election, but frame then-GOP nominee Donald J. Trump for a crime in the process.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, Joseph DiGenova lays out in detail what he believes the Obama administration did, based on a slew of reports over the past few months that appear to show a distinct pattern of abuse within the FBI, the Department of Justice, and elements of the intelligence community.

He noted that former Obama administration Justice Department and FBI officials may have “violated the law, perhaps committed crimes” to politicize law enforcement and surveillance against political opponents.

He said then-FBI Director James Comey conducted a phony criminal investigation of  Clinton’s mishandling of classified materials as they “followed none of the regular rules, gave her every break in the book, immunized all kinds of people, allowed the destruction of evidence, with no grand jury, no subpoenas, no search warrants. That’s not an investigation. That’s a Potemkin village. It’s a farce.”

The former federal prosecutor also lashed out at the FBI for apparently working with Fusion GPS, a Democrat-aligned opposition research firm, to produce the infamous “Trump dossier” using a former British spy who was in contact with Russian government operatives.

The dossier was paid for in large part by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party.

DiGenova said that without a justifiable law enforcement or national security reason, he says, the FBI “created false facts so that they could get surveillance warrants. Those are all crimes.”

And he said that by using official FISA-702 “queries,” surveillance was done “to create a false case against a candidate, and then a president.”

During the interview, DiGenova held up an unreported April 2017 99-page FISA court opinion that “describes systematic and on-going violations of the law [by the FBI and their contractors using unauthorized disclosures of raw intelligence on Americans]. This is stunning stuff.”

He added that he believes Fusion GPS and Crowdstrike, the DNC’s private security firm, were among the redacted contractors of the FBI.

“People that were senior career civil servants violated the law, perhaps committed crimes, and covered up crimes by a Presidential candidate [Hillary].  But more than that, they tried to frame an incoming President with a false Russian conspiracy that never existed and they knew it and they plotted to ruin him as a candidate and then destroy him as a President,” DiGenova said.

“That’s why this is important.  That’s why connecting the dots is important, because the FBI now has to be completely reconstructed from the ground up.”

Gaetz: FISA Memo will PROVE that Mueller investigation is all Trump says it is – a ‘ROTTEN witch hunt’ (Video)

(National SentinelCollusion Hoax: Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz told Fox News host Tucker Carlson Friday evening during his program that the four-page FISA Memo drafted by the House Intelligence Committee contains information that he believes will prove President Donald J. Trump correct about special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia “collusion” probe.

In response to Carlson asking what they memo is such a “big deal,” Gaetz noted, “I believe that once the American people have the opportunity to evaluate the allegations and claims in this memo, it will become evident the activities of the last administration, the crimes I believe were committed, and the total sham that this Mueller investigation is, built on a false premise and rotten to the core, Tucker.”

Last week Circa News investigative reporter and Fox News contributor Sara A. Carter said sources have told her the contents of the memo are so “explosive” they could spell a quick end to Mueller’s probe of the Trump campaign and transition team.

During the same interview, Gaetz predicted that people would be fired and that some will “go to jail.”

“I believe this will not end just with firings. I believe there are people who will go to jail. I was very persuaded by the evidence,” Gaetz told Hannity.

During his interview with Carlson, the host asked why, if the memo contains evidence of lawbreaking, it is illegal for Gaetz and others who have seen its contents to discuss specifics.

Gaetz acknowledged the irony, but said the memo is classified top secret, thus prohibiting members by law from discussion specifics publicly.

ENOUGH! POTUS Trump goes OFF over phony Russian collusion ‘witch hunt’; wants GOP to ‘take CONTROL’

(National SentinelPresidential: Clearly frustrated by the never-ending probes into alleged collusion between his 2016 campaign and Russia, President Donald J. Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to blast the investigations and call on the Republican majority to “take control.”

“The single greatest Witch Hunt in American history continues. There was no collusion, everybody including the Dems knows there was no collusion, & yet on and on it goes. Russia & the world is laughing at the stupidity they are witnessing. Republicans should finally take control!”

Former FBI Director James Comey testified last year before the House Intelligence Committee that a counterintelligence investigation was opened into possible Trump-Russia collusion, but some critics of that probe are now charging that it was cover for the Obama administration to use in order to spy on the Trump campaign.

Neither the FBI nor the Department of Justice has thus far turned up any evidence of collusion.

Neither have various congressional panels in both chambers, including the House and Senate intelligence committees.

In addition to those probes, a special counsel — former FBI Director Robert Mueller — has also been appointed by the Justice Department to look into the allegations, but his probe now seems more focused on other potential criminal activity committed by members of Trump’s campaign.

“Here we are almost one year later, millions of dollars spent and they have NOTHING,” The Gateway Pundit noted.

Bongino: Trump dossier could be ‘INSURANCE policy’ to cover up ILLEGAL spying on Team Trump (Video)

(National SentinelDirty Deal: Former Secret Service agent and outspoken conservative advocate Dan Bongino said Sunday it is possible that Democrats and the Obama administration created the so-called “Trump dossier” in order to cover up improper spying on the campaign of President Donald J. Trump.

In fact, he said on Fox News, the dossier — the foundation of the “Russian collusion” narrative — may be nothing more than an “insurance policy” to protect key figures.

During his appearance, Bongino was asked about FBI agent Peter Strzok’s comment in a text he sent to FBI lawyer Lisa Page regarding an “insurance policy” to keep Trump out of office.

In mid-December, Fox News reporter Bret Baier tweeted the following: “Text-from Peter Strzok to Lisa Page (Andy is Andrew McCabe): “I want to believe the path u threw out 4 consideration in Andy’s office-that there’s no way he gets elected-but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in unlikely event u die be4 you’re 40.”

The Daily Caller reported further:

Two FBI officials who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation exchanged text messages last year in which they appear to have discussed ways to prevent Donald Trump from being elected president.

During his “Fox & Friends” appearance, Bongino offered his own explanation for what Strzok’s comment really means.

“I think America needs to prepare itself for the idea that this entire thing was a sting against the Trump team the entire time and that the dossier was just cover for it,” he said.

Trump has repeatedly insisted there was no collusion between his campaign and the Russian government. Multiple investigations of the allegation have turned up nothing after more than a year-and-a-half. Congressional committees are still investigating the allegations.

In back-and-forth with reporters at Camp David over the weekend, where Trump spent a retreat with GOP lawmakers, he insisted there is evidence of collusion between the Democratic National Committee, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and operatives within the Obama administration of colluding with Russian sources against the Trump campaign.

“But you guys don’t cover that,” Trump admonished.

The Department of Justice has opened an investigation into the Clinton Foundation’s dealings with foreign donors and others as they relate to the approval of the Uranium One deal, among other things.

BOGUS: NYTimes’ Papadopoulos ‘bombshell’ continues to unravel after former DNI Clapper says he knew NOTHING about him

(National SentinelDeep Mistake: Last weekend The New York Times published what it considered a ‘bombshell’ revelation: That George Papadopoulos, a young foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, was the individual who essentially got the “Russian collusion” investigation started, rather than the widely refuted “Trump dossier.”

“During a night of heavy drinking at an upscale London bar in May 2016, George Papadopoulos, a young foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, made a startling revelation to Australia’s top diplomat in Britain: Russia had political dirt on Hillary Clinton,” the paper reported.

The rest of the report, which was lengthy, sought to add to the new narrative that what this minor Trump campaign official allegedly told an Australian diplomat is what triggered the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into alleged Russian collusion.

Republicans in Congress have long asserted that the FBI used the unsubstantiated Trump dossier to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant from the secretive FISA court in order to justify launching a counterintelligence investigation against members of President Donald J. Trump’s campaign in 2016.

Further evidence emerged earlier this week suggesting that Republicans are right and not the Times.

President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told CNN Tuesday evening that Papadopoulos was not on his “radar scope” when he left.

“There were other factors that I think were the stimulus for the investigation and the revelation about George Papadopoulos, which was not a name on my radar scope when I left…I think also was another factor,” Clapper said.

The former DNI also made the claim, as some Democrats and Left-leaning media outlets have similarly made in the past, that portions of the Russian dossier have been substantiated.

However, when pressed, Clapper could only recount two instances, neither of which have to do with alleged Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

He cited Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “animus” towards Hillary Clinton “and the determination of clearly favoring…Trump to win the presidency” as the two examples.

In a tweet, Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberly Strassel noted, “Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper (in a Tuesday CNN interview): George Papadopoulos “was not a name on my radar scope when i left.” So head of intelligence had never heard of the dude that the NYT now claims launched the entire Trump-Russia probe?”

PARTISAN: Mueller now probing RNC data-sharing operations with TRUMP campaign

(National SentinelHack-like: Special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation into alleged ‘collusion’ between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia has taken a new twist, Business Insider reported Wednesday.

Mueller investigators are questioning staffers at the Republican National Committee about the organization’s digital operations with the Trump campaign.

Two sources told Yahoo News that Mueller’s investigators are looking into whether the joint RNC-Trump campaign data operation — directed on Trump’s side by Brad Parscale and managed by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner — “was related to the activities of Russian trolls and bots aimed at influencing the American electorate.”

Already, the FBI had been scrutinizing Kushner’s contacts a year ago with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. and the CEO of a sanctioned Russian bank. So far, however, the bureau has not produced any evidence or findings of wrongdoing.

The FBI has been scrutinizing Kushner’s contacts in December 2016 with the Russian ambassador to the US and the CEO of a sanctioned Russian bank.

No one in Mueller’s office or the RNC would verify the claims, however. Also, a source close to one of the Trump campaign’s data firms said they were “unaware of anyone being questioned,” Business Insider reported.

The site noted further:

Legacy Food Storage

It is not surprising that federal investigators have begun to examine the possibility that Russia and the Trump campaign helped each other during the election. Investigators have been looking into whether Russia provided the campaign with voter information stolen by Russian hackersfrom election databases in several states, and whether the Trump campaign helped Russia target its political ads to specific demographics and voting precincts.

In November, Parscale denied that Russians assisted the Trump campaign’s data operations.

“Absolutely not,” Parscale said on Fox News “The Story with Martha MacCallum.” He emphasized that the Trump campaign got the data it used here in America.

“In the United States, we actually have access to some of the best data, and the data we used on this campaign directly came from the Republican National Committee, and what they did after the 2012 election to build a data set like never seen before,” Parscale said. “We didn’t need data, we didn’t need it from anyone else, it was right here in the United States of America, and the best data is right here.”, short for “Russia Today,” a government-aligned media organ, reported in October that half of Russian ads on Facebook were shown after the Nov. 8, 2016 election, with an additional 25 percent never seen at all.

Mark Penn, the former chief strategist on Bill Clinton’s 1996 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign, and her 2008 presidential campaign, admitted it’s impossible Russian Facebook ads won Donald Trump the White House.

“I have 40 years of experience in politics, and this Russian ad buy, mostly after the election anyway, simply does not add up to a carefully targeted campaign to move voters,” he wrote in The Wall Street Journal.

Ingraham: Mueller’s Russia probe ‘irreparably tainted’; ‘will and should’ collapse (Video)

(National SentinelCollusion Probe: Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials to undermine Hillary Clinton is “irreparably tainted” with bias and should not hold up, Fox News host Laura Ingraham said Thursday night on her program.

During a critique of Mueller’s team, which is filled with Clinton donors and Democrat-aligned lawyers and investigators, she said the probe itself is an example of “how big government can end up becoming a threat to a representative democracy.”

In particular, Ingraham referenced text messages written by FBI Agent Peter Strzok in August of 2016 and exchanged with his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, that said: “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

Strzok is referring to what was many believe was a political meeting in FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s office, Breitbart News reported.

Ingraham, who is an attorney by trade, also noted that earlier that same month, Page wrote to Strzok, “Maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace [Trump].”

“I can protect our country at many levels,” Strzok replied.

The Fox News host noted that the exchange took place in the heart of a heated presidential campaign.

“They were intent on preventing him from being elected by any means necessary. And if that meant applying for a FISA warrant based on a phony dossier in order to spy on the campaign, maybe they’d do it. And if it meant deploying the entire mainstream media apparatus into Defcon 1 mode; hyper-ventilating about Russian collusion 24/7, they’d do it,” Ingraham said.

Regarding the “insurance policy” claim, Ingraham noted further:

And today, if it means floating a specious story alleging that the president has early on-set dementia, they’ll do that too. Or maybe spreading damaging falsehoods with anonymous sources that are later parroted and then retracted by major news organizations. Yeah, they’ll do that too. … Whatever it takes. As former Mueller investigator Peter Strzok put it, they needed an “insurance policy” to stop Trump.

Ingraham said she was tempted to call for Mueller’s firing, but refrained, saying instead that his probe is “irreparably tainted” and itself should be investigated by a second special counsel, which Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee have called for.

If that doesn’t happen, the host said she thinks his investigation “will and should” collapse over these “endless revelations of bias.”

Former U.S. attorney believes Mueller’s ‘ugly’ probe is on pace to CLEAR TRUMP of Russian ‘collusion’

(National SentinelCollusion Narrative: Former U.S. attorney Andrew McCarthy said in a column published Wednesday that special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during last year’s election might by “ugly,” but it is nevertheless on track to “clear” President Donald J. Trump.

“We must remain mindful, though, that Mueller has so far issued three sets of charges: the one against Flynn, another false-statements charge against low-level Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, and the indictment of Paul Manafort and Richard Gates,” he wrote in the New York Post.

“None of these allege any wrongdoing by President Trump or any collusion between his campaign and the Kremlin.”

He further noted that, as many observers now believe, Mueller may be angling for Trump’s impeachment — as McCarthy himself observed earlier this month — but “that is a political remedy, not a legal one.”

McCarthy, who focused on national security when he was a federal prosecutor, noted further that criminal due process protections would not apply in the case of impeachment, and “theoretically,” he said, it would “be easier to prove ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ than ordinary criminal offenses. But it’s a very long shot.”

Therefore, he concluded, “the higher likelihood is that the Mueller investigation, despite all the reasonable suspicions about its partisanship, will end up exonerating the president.”

McCarthy also said that Congress should aggressively investigate any appearance of biased actors within Mueller’s investigation, especially top FBI counterintelligence investigator Peter Strzok and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

“But President Trump,” he continued, “and the rest of us…would be well advised to wait for the facts before drawing conclusions.”
