(National Sentinel) Fake News: Some residents in Alabama are getting fake robocalls from someone who is posing as a reporter for the Washington Post seeking women who are willing to make disparaging, damaging remarks about U.S. Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore for cash, reports WKRG.
At least one resident has reported receiving the call, Circa News reported further. One voicemail left for Pastor Al Moore (no relation) of Creola reportedly stated:
“Hi, this is Bernie Bernstein, I’m a reporter for the Washington Post calling to find out if anyone at this address is a female between the ages of 54 to 57 years old willing to make damaging remarks about candidate Roy Moore for a reward of between $5000 and $7000. We will not be fully investigating these claims however we will make a written report. I can be reached by email at albernstein@washingtonpost.com. Thank you.”
Pastor Moore told WKRG that he is “baffled” about could have left the message. He told the station he sent an email to the address provided by the caller but it was returned as undeliverable.

“The call’s description of our reporting methods bears no relationship to reality,” said Washington Post editor-in-chief Marty Baron. “We are shocked and appalled that anyone would stoop to this level to discredit real journalism.”
