Trump attends college football championship; crowd ROARS when prez STANDS for National Anthem (Video)

(National SentinelPresidential: President Donald J. Trump attended Monday night’s college National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs.

As the president entered the field accompanied by ROTC students from both universities, the crowd erupted in cheers at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz stadium, the home of NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

Trump waved to the crowd a number of times before taking his place near the middle of the field before the Zac Brown Band sang the National Anthem, standing with his hand over his heart as the band sang.

Reports noted that some of the 71,000 fans jeered at the president, but those were drowned out by the cheers.

Trump gives Roy Moore full endorsement

(National SentinelSpecial Election: President Donald J. Trump has voiced his full support for GOP Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore ahead of a special election to be held Dec. 12 to fill Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ old seat.

Trump tweeted several reasons for supporting Moore, including that his opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, is a “puppet” of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as well as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

“Democrats refusal to give even one vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama,” Trump tweeted. “We need his vote on stopping crime, illegal immigration, Border Wall, Military, Pro Life, V.A., Judges 2nd Amendment and more. No to Jones, a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet!”

Previously, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and other GOP members of the Senate had called on Moore to drop out of the race after he became engulfed in a sexual harassment scandal last month.

The Washington Post reported that he attempted to date teenage girls when he was an adult. The paper also reported that Moore, then 32, kissed and fondled a 14-year-old, based on her account.

Moore has strenuously denied all charges and has said he may sue the Post and his accusers. Also, some holes have appeared in witnesses’ accounts and other allegations since the Post’s report.

Moore defeated incumbent Sen. Luther Strange in a primary earlier this year.

Since Moore’s allegations surfaced, several allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual behavior among many Democrats have surfaced as well.

Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., was accused by Los Angeles journalist Leeann Tweeden, a morning news anchor for TalkRadio 790 KABC, of kissing and groping her in 2006 without her consent as they returned from a USO event in the Middle East.

She also published a photo showing Franken appearing to grope her breasts. He has since been accused by an Army vet who claims he groped her in 2003.

Also, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., has been accused by former staffers of sexually harassing and abusing them. Conyers has settled with some of the women using a special taxpayer-funded congressional account that few Americans knew existed before these scandals surfaced.

Neither man has expressed any interest in resigning.

Retired Marine colonel jumps in Alabama Senate race as write-in candidate

(National SentinelU.S. Senate: Fearing that GOP Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore is on pace to lose his race against Democratic challenger Doug Jones in Alabama, a retired Marine Corps colonel is stepping up to add his name to the race as a write-in candidate.

Lee Busby, 60, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, said he believes that popular disgust with both Moore and Jones creates an opportunity for someone who represents the vast majority of people between the two political extremes.

“Alabama is not happy with the two choices we have down here. They are not appealing,” he told The Daily Beast.

Jones is far too liberal for conservative Alabama, and Moore is hampered with various sexual misconduct allegations, one involving a woman who says she was 14 when he fondled her as an adult.

Moore has strenuously denied the allegations.

Still, Busby said he believes that there is a place between the political extremes of Moore and Jones that most Alabama voters seek.

“I think you can flip this thing. If this were a military operation, the left flank and the right flank are heavily guarded,” said Busby, who once served as a top aide to retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, the current White House chief of staff. “I think that gives you an opportunity to run straight up the middle.”

The challenge for Busby is great.

The special election to fill the seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions is Dec. 12, and his campaign lacks a staff and funding. However, he said he hopes good media exposure will strengthen and popularize his campaign, which has a website that is ticking down the time until the polls open next month.

“I just don’t believe that either one of them are qualified to be in the U.S. Senate,” Busby told The Washington Post.

As for the 40-year-old allegations against Moore, Busby said they bother him.

FO-300x250-1“It has created enough distaste in my mind,” he said. “As a voter, I don’t need to get to the bottom of it.”

And Jones, he says, is far too liberal for the state he seeks to represent.

“The people of Alabama are not going to be represented by someone who supports a liberal abortion policy,” said Busby, who says he is pro-life. “I’m extremely concerned about the Democratic Party in Alabama. I don’t think they reflect Alabama’s views.”

Alabamians are getting fake robocalls seeking damaging info on Judge Moore

(National SentinelFake News: Some residents in Alabama are getting fake robocalls from someone who is posing as a reporter for the Washington Post seeking women who are willing to make disparaging, damaging remarks about U.S. Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore for cash, reports WKRG.

At least one resident has reported receiving the call, Circa News reported further. One voicemail left for Pastor Al Moore (no relation) of Creola reportedly stated:

“Hi, this is Bernie Bernstein, I’m a reporter for the Washington Post calling to find out if anyone at this address is a female between the ages of 54 to 57 years old willing to make damaging remarks about candidate Roy Moore for a reward of between $5000 and $7000. We will not be fully investigating these claims however we will make a written report. I can be reached by email at albernstein@washingtonpost.com. Thank you.”

Pastor Moore told WKRG that he is “baffled” about could have left the message. He told the station he sent an email to the address provided by the caller but it was returned as undeliverable.

MLB player who knelt during anthem has been arrested for aggravated assault

(National SentinelCriminal Minds: Oakland A’s rookie catcher Bruce Maxwell, who became the first Major League Baseball player to take a knee during the playing of the national anthem, has been arrested for aggravated assault.

Bruce Maxwell was arrested and charged on Saturday, TMZ Sports reported. The site added that Maxwell, 26, allegedly pulled a handgun on a woman at his Scottsdale, Ariz., home, according to local police

SPD says Maxwell was booked on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.

Earlier this week, Maxwell told TMZ that he had been denied service at a restaurant and bar in Alabama in what he described as a racist incident. But the manager of the restaurant and the server who waited on Maxwell and his party said those claims were false.

“He is outright lying. This is really upsetting as he was given full service, I didn’t even know who Bruce Maxwell was,” Matt Henry, a 42-year-old waiter at Keegan’s Public House, told Fox News. “This all started because I carded his friend who wanted to order a beer.”

Henry, who is an Alabama native, said that Maxwell was sitting with a local Democratic councilman, Devyn Keith, and another friend who showed him an ID that was expired. At that point, Henry refused to serve him a drink, which summarily upset the friend who then followed Maxwell to the kitchen.

“He asked me, don’t you know who Bruce Maxwell is, and told me I was making everyone feel uncomfortable. Nobody was even paying attention to them,” Henry said.

“I didn’t know anything about him or the kneeling. All I know is a friend of mine 15 years ago lost his job for serving someone a drink who happened to be underage, so if anyone looks under 30, I’m going to card them,” he continued.

The manager on duty that day, Anne Whalen, told Fox News that Maxwell’s story as it has been portrayed in the media is just false.

“Matt came to me and told me that a guy wanted a beer but his ID was not valid and told him he absolutely could not give it to him, we can go to jail for that in the state of Alabama,” she said.

“It was his friend causing all the fuss, none of us even knew who this baseball player was. I told him I had no idea who he was going on about,” Whalen said. “Eventually Matt just asked if we could put another server on the table so I did. … I can’t believe the story.”

Alabama waiter says kneeling MLB player Maxwell ‘outright lying’ about being refused service

(National SentinelAnthem Protests: Oakland A’s catcher Bruce Maxwell claimed this week that a waiter in his Alabama hometown of Huntsville would not serve him after identifying him as the MLB player who knelt during the playing of the National Anthem before a game last month, but the waiter says that’s simply not true.

Henry said that Keith complained next to the restaurant manager, claiming that Maxwell was being uncomfortable, but “the manager simply swapped me to another table,” the waiter said, adding that it was “no big deal.”

Whalen said that Maxwell, 26, was the only one of the three who produced a valid ID, and thus was the only one who was served alcohol.

Maxwell told TMZ Sports this week — and the headlines have since have spread aroiund the globe — that the waiter said to him, “You’re the guy who took the knee?” After confirming he was, Maxwell alleged that the waiter then responded, “I voted for Trump, and I stand for everything he stands for,” and then refused to serve him.

“We didn’t even discuss Trump. I was working two jobs, I don’t have time for rallies,” Henry continued. “If this all happened a month ago, why suddenly now is he claiming all this now?”

Maxwell also claimed to TMZ that he was racially profiled by the waiter.

“It’s really easy for people to point a finger at Alabama, and that’s what has upset me about this fabrication the most,” Henry noted. “This is one of the best places to live in America, if not the planet. Hearing this was a slap in the face.”

Fox: “Maxwell became the first and only MLB player to kneel during the national anthem at a game against the Texas Rangers on September 23. He is also the son of a U.S. Army veteran and previously stated that the point of his kneeling was not to disrespect the military, but to draw attention to the ‘racial divide that is being practiced from the highest power.'”

The REAL poll: Moore takes 11-point lead in Alabama over Dem challenger Doug Jones

(National SentinelElection 2017: Just days after Fox News released an incredible poll purporting to show that the U.S. Senate race in Alabama to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions was a tie, a new survey is painting a far different picture.

According to a new Raycom News Network poll, which was conducted by Strategy Research, give Moore an 11-point advantage over Jones, his biggest lead yet.

According to Birmingham WBRC6’s Rick Journey, the poll shows a 51-40 percent split.

“The survey of 3,000 likely Alabama voters finds Moore receiving 51% support to 40% for Jones,” Journey wrote. “Nine percent remain undecided in the exclusive poll conducted on Monday.”

The new poll comes after Fox News reported that Moore and Jones were tied at about 42 percent apiece in a state President Donald J. Trump won by 28 points.

Strategy Research’s Jon Gray said Jones might have an even more substantial hurdle to overcome than this poll indicates.

“I think the challenge for the Jones campaign is bigger than what these numbers show,” Gray said to WBRC’s Journey. “Even if he were able to close the gap, how do you turn out Democrats in a state that hasn’t had a viable Democratic Party in almost a dozen years?”

Answer: You don’t.

The poll that Fox News published came from a firm loyal to network contributor and serial campaign loser Karl Rove, who hasn’t backed a successful candidate since he managed George W. Bush’s campaign.

Rove is locked in a battle with Breitbart News‘ Steve Bannon, the latter of whom is out to defeat as many RINOs and GOP establishment types as possible and see them replaced with conservative, populist Republicans who will help Trump pass his agenda.

That Fox News poll showing a tight race between Judge Moore and his Dem opponent in the Deep Red state of Alabama Trump Country is BOGUS

(National SentinelFake News Polling: Honestly, we thought more of Fox News than this, but when you’re a network addicted to that ridiculous (and never right) buffoon Karl Rove, this is what you get.

You may recall that the network published a poll over the last 24 hours purporting to show that Republican senatorial candidate Judge Roy Moore is running neck-and-neck with Democratic rival Doug Jones in Deep Red Alabama, a state where Trump won big — 28 points — over Hillary Clinton:

Republican Roy Moore, the anti-Republican establishment candidate, is tied at 42 percent apiece with Democrat Doug Jones in the U.S. Senate race in deep-red Alabama.

A Fox News Poll also finds that among just the 53 percent of Alabama registered voters who are extremely or very interested in the race, Jones has a one-point edge over Moore (46-45 percent).

The special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is December 12.

If that sounds just completely bonkers to you, trust your instincts because it is bonkers. And bogus.

As Breitbart News‘ London managing editor Raheem Kassam points out, the polling data is so skewed and so incredibly tainted that it’s practically worthless:

From the random digit dialing, the tiny sample size, as well as the partisan nature of the pollsters, it should be clear to anyone with half a brain how poor this data is. It’s actually an insult to the Fox News audience that the network would continue to hold this up as reliable.

But wait, there’s more.

As an advisor to the Great America Alliance Andy Surabian pointed out late last night, to believe this poll would be to believe that President Trump only has a +1 favorability rating in Alabama.

How does President Donald J. Trump go from +28 to +1 in a state where he scored a massive victory in less than 10 months?

Answer: He doesn’t.

More:

According to the pollsters, Shaw & Company (R) and Anderson Robbins (D), the Democratic Party is as popular as President Trump in the solidly red state. I know no better response to such nonsense than: LOL.

I said yesterday how these pollsters were just establishment shills, servicing the Bush administration, working with Lindsay Graham supporters, and even assisting John Kerry.

But wait, there’s more.

Daron Shaw — behind the Shaw & Company organization that Fox News almost exclusively uses in partnership with Anderson Robbins — is actually an old pal of Karl Rove.

That’s the same Karl Rove who declared “Good Riddance to Steve Bannon” back in August, and who more recently declared Bannon’s plans to primary pseudo-conservative Republicans “insane.”

Rove is one of those GOP establishment-type RINOs who is about as #nevertrump as it gets. Plus, as a long-time political operative, he knows how to skew a poll in a bid to sow doubt among voters who were, at one time, very sure of their candidate choices.

This is beneath Fox News but not beneath Karl Rove because he’s a creature of the DC Swamp.

Insurgency: GOP establishment loses primary in Alabama on same day they concede ‘defeat’ on Obamacare repeal

(National SentinelRage Against the Machine: On the same day GOP leaders ‘conceded defeat’ on repeal of Obamacare, an insurgent Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate rocked the establishment when he defeated incumbent Sen. Luther Strange.

To make the assumption that these two events aren’t related is to completely misunderstand what is currently happening in American politics, on both sides of the aisle.

First, Obamacare. As insurance premiums and deductibles continue to skyrocket past the point of absurd, a handful of Republicans who at one time voted unanimously to oppose the Affordable Care Act, then voted unanimously to repeal it, now refuse — refuse — to back any effort to even roll back the law’s most hated provisions.

Worse, these same Republicans wouldn’t even vote for a bill — the Graham-Cassidy legislation — that smacked of federalism. The bill provides Obamacare money to states in the form of block grants so that locally elected politicians who are closer to the people can decide how best to spend those dollars.

The bill also would have done away with the insurance mandates for employers and individuals, while repealing the unpopular tax on medical devices. It wasn’t full-on repeal, but it was good start.

And too few Republicans supported it — most of whom were in the same congressional classes of Republicans who once universally opposed the Obamacare law and supported its repeal.

This failure of a basic, fundamental pledge to repeal and replace Obamacare is one the principal reasons why Sen. Luther Strange will become a regular citizen next January, and Judge Roy Moore, who defeated him, will become Alabama’s newest U.S. senator.

Moore, like Trump before him, has successfully ridden a wave of discontent among the conservative Republican rank-and-file that is sick and tired of being lied to, abused, taken for granted, and ignored.

But this insurgency won’t be limited to the red lines that form Alabama’s border. The shock of the GOP establishment’s loss will spread to other states, other seats that were once safely ensconced within the bosom of the Republican establishment.

read-here-first-FO-160x600As reported by the Washington Post:

The stunning defeat of President Trump’s chosen Senate candidate in Alabama on Tuesday amounted to a political lightning strike — setting the stage for a worsening Republican civil war that could have profound effects on next year’s midterm elections and undermine Trump’s clout with his core voters.

The GOP primary victory by conservative firebrand Roy Moore over Sen. Luther Strange could also produce a stampede of Republican retirements in the coming months and an energized swarm of challengers.

Before Democrats take their victory lap, there is no joy in Mudville for them, either.

Democratic voters’ inability to push Hillary Clinton over the finish line, plus the stunning popularity of the far-Left presidential candidacy of consummate old white guy Sen. Bernie Sanders, means that the Donkey Party has its own insurgency to deal with as well.

And already there are signs of fissure on their side of the aisle. The farthest of the far-Left within the party — Sens. Kamala Harris of California; Liz Warren of Massachusetts; and “independent” Sanders — are the new stars. Clinton’s DNC establishment is on the downward slide and has its own credibility problems.

Trouble is, as the Democrats move the Left of Hitler, Stalin, Marx, and Mao, the party will lose even more of the country. Standing up for “what you believe in” is all well and good, but not when it involves disrespecting the American flag, “protesting” the National Anthem, or using domestic terrorists to shut down free speech on college campuses. What plays well in Seattle, LA, Boston, and NYC are non-starters in America’s vast, electorally-rich heartland.

There is a political insurgency underway in America. Trump began this political transformation. The people will complete it.

Let the games begin.

Trump unleashed: ‘Get that son of a b**ch off the field!’ as he calls for BOYCOTT of NFL over anthem protests

(National SentinelNFL Hell: President Donald J. Trump, during a speech in Alabama to stump for U.S. Sen. Luther Strange, had some choice things to say about the NFL and players who have chosen to sit or kneel during the playing of the National Anthem as a form of social protest.

Trump called on Americans fed up with the disrespect to “boycott” any team featuring protesting players, the Daily Mail reported.

NFL ratings started slipping last year when then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who is black, began kneeling during the anthem when he was an injured backup player.

At the time, Kaepernick said he was protesting “a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

The protests have only spread this year, with mostly black players taking the same actions and attitude that Kaepernick — who hasn’t been able to land with another team after leaving the 49ers last year — started.

And as recent research has indicated, the protests are hurting attendance at games, as well as TV ratings and viewership.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b***h off the field right now!’?” Trump boomed at his rally, which was followed up with chants of “USA! USA!” from the crowd.

“If you see it – even if it’s one player – leave the stadium. I guarantee things will stop,” said Trump, who at one time owned the New Jersey Generals of the long-defunct United States Football League (USFL), which folded in the mid-1980s after just three seasons.

Trump went on to note that owners would be branded instantly as heroes if they pulled protesting players off the field. And he reiterated that such actions would draw more fans back to games and TV viewership would spike.

The president also criticized other aspects of the game, noting that rule changes in recent years — like referees throwing penalty flags for hits that are judged to be too strong — are “ruining the game.”

Players “want to hit,” said Trump.

“But you know what’s hurting the game more than that?” Trump asked. “When people like yourselves turn on television and you see those people taking the knee when they are playing our great National Anthem.”

Trump’s comments resonated in Alabama, not simply because it’s a deeply conservative state, but also because the University of Alabama has had the No. 1 collegiate football program in the country for years, winning several national championships.

“The only thing you could do better is, if you see it – even if it’s one player – leave the stadium. I guarantee things will stop. Things will stop,” said Trump. “Just pick up and leave.”

FO-banner-600x100

The problem with that suggestion, however, is that ticket prices for most games and most teams are in the hundreds of dollars.

Still, it’s hard to argue with Trump’s prediction that, at some point, NFL owners are going to intervene in some way to staunch the hemorrhaging of viewership and TV ratings, which are already costing the league tens of millions in revenue.

As for the protesting players, two things: 1) Yes, you have a right to protest whatever it is you think you need to protest; 2) Owners have a right to protect their investment (which would be the team and the league) by letting you go the way of Kaepernick and replacing you with someone who is, shall we say, less prone to self-destruction.

Palin: GOP establishment part of the same ‘swamp’ lining up against Roy Moore in Alabama Senate race

(National SentinelGOP Primary: Former Veep nominee and Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, campaigning in support of U.S. Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore of Alabama, says he was “deplorable before deplorable was cool,” adding the GOP establishment is afraid of Moore because “he’s not one of them.”

As reported by Breitbart News, Palin told a raucous Moore campaign rally after Moore debated his establishment Republican opponent Sen. Luther Strange that a vote for the judge was not a vote against Trump — who won big in Alabama — but rather a vote against the swamp Trump was sent to drain.

And she said if Moore — who is ahead in polls — defeats Strange in Tuesday’s primary, more grassroots candidates will emerge to take on “their own Swamp creatures.”

The conservative firebrand urged voters to “send the loudest message you can send to D.C. at this time” and praised Moore as a “man of principle.” She noted that if Moore makes a promise, one can “take it to the bank.”

“Rule of law. No illegal immigration. No bad trade deals,” Palin said. “And the importance of God and our shared American culture and our heritage.”

“Judge Moore is gonna defend our interests with the same steel spine that he defended those 10 Commandments,” he said, referencing Moore’s longtime legal battle to preserve the First Amendment right to display the Christian creed in public and in schools.

“I don’t think there’s any cooler nickname you can have than the ’10 Commandments Judge’—that’s a badge of honor,” said Palin.

Republican leaders urged Trump to travel to Alabama to support Strange.

“They are afraid” of Moore, said Palin. “They should be afraid. Because the judge is a threat to their power. Because he’s on our side. And they know it. And they know that he’s not one of them.”

Palin reminded the crowd that “this movement gained steam here with Trump and [former U.S. Senator and current Attorney General Jeff] Sessions, and it’s going to continue here Tuesday when you vote for the judge.”
