Bongino: ‘Democrats covering up the BIGGEST political scandal in U.S. history;’ they have ‘NO credibility’ (Video)

(National SentinelCover-up: Former NYPD officer, U.S. Secret Service agent and current conservative talk host Dan Bongino on Saturday accused Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media of working overtime to hide the biggest political scandal in the country’s history — weaponized spying on the Trump campaign.

“Trust the department, not the president. So your reaction to how Democrats are reacting to the White House decision to say, hey, let’s make sure we are not releasing anything to compromise national security in this memo,” said Fox News‘ “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Pete Hegseth, in reference to President Donald J. Trump’s refusal on Friday to agree to the release of a memo authored by Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee because it contained classified information.

The Democrat memo, authored by Ranking Member Adam Schiff of California, reportedly contained classified information.

“Pete, the Democrats have forfeited all credibility on this case. They haven’t told the truth from day one,” Bongino said.

“Pete, here’s what even more tragically amusing about the Democrats. They step — they lie so much they step on their own story. They told us before the release of the Nunes Republican memo oh my gosh sources and methods, it’s going to jeopardize national security,” he continued.

“Nobody should see this. Cover it up. Sweep it under the rug. Then the memo came out, ‘oh, this is a big nothing burger.’ This is a total dud. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. They have not told the truth from day one on this,” Bongino said.

“They have forfeited all their credibility. This is important. They are covering up what I believe to be the biggest scandal in modern political history. That is the spying on of the Trump team by the Obama Administration with no evidence to do so,” he said.

Bongino also noted that the campaign of Hillary Clinton essentially “bought” an FBI investigation of her opponent, President Donald J. Trump, adding to the level of scandal.

Nunes drops BOMB: Carter Page was FBI informant in 2013! (Video)

(National SentinelDeep State: House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes confirmed on Saturday reports and rumors suggesting that one-time Trump campaign foreign policy advisor Carter Page was, for a time, an informant for the FBI.

In an interview with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo, Nunes also said that after Page joined the Trump campaign, the FBI used him in order to gain access to other officials — essentially everyone within the president’s campaign that he came into contact with.

“We know now because it’s been declassified, we know that anyone who was talking to Carter Page was likely picked up by authorities,” Nunes, R-Calif., told Bartiromo.

According to prior reporting and revelations contained in the FISA memo that Nunes’ panel released earlier this month, the FBI sought a counterintelligence surveillance warrant against Page twice in 2016 — once in June and again in October.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court denied the first request — which is a rarity — but granted the second request after the FBI introduced an unsubstantiated document which has become known as the “Trump dossier” authored by former British spy Christopher Steele as evidence of possible espionage.

The FISA memo noted that the FBI did not inform the court that the dossier was a political opposition research document commissioned by DC firm Fusion GPS and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign.

It’s not clear if the FBI told the FISC that Page was once an informant for the bureau.

“Carter Page is an interesting individual,” Nunes said. “But he’s also a guy who cooperated with the FBI back in 2013, they used him in a court case to say that the Russians actually didn’t even want to recruit [him]…look, I don’t agree with Carter Page on very much, but the guy shouldn’t have his emails and phone calls listened to and eavesdropped into.”

He also noted that Steele lied to the FBI, which is why Sens. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., of the Judiciary Committee have sent the Justice Department a criminal referral to have him investigated.

Columnist: ‘Mainstream’ media no longer ‘journalists,’ they’re ‘ACTIVISTS’

(National SentinelMedia Matters: A columnist for the Washington Examiner has taken the so-called ‘mainstream media’ to task for its warped, overtly biased coverage of today’s top political figures, noting that most are no longer “journalists” but really are just “activists.”

“The Washington Post, New York Times, and USA Today still refuse to employ a single columnist that won’t begin each piece with anything less than, ‘Mr. Trump, you are a liar!’ wrote Eddie Scarry in December.

He noted that in his view, the only major “mainstream” newspaper that provides “anything that even looks sort of like a reasonable perspective on the still-young White House” is The Wall Street Journal opinion page.

Scarry noted further:

CNN this year had to retract one story and significantly modify a second one (both were related to Trump and Russia) after it turned out the former wasn’t supported by any facts (otherwise often referred to as “fiction”) and the latter was inaccurate to the point of libel.

Brian Ross, with his apparent lifetime tenure at ABC News, was suspended in early December after he once again reported catastrophically wrong information about Trump and, of course, Russia.

And as if on cue, The New York Times on Saturday ran a lengthy story praising MSNBC host Joy Reid as a leader of the “resistance.” She has been extremely critical of President Donald J. Trump even to the point of becoming shooing pro-Trump guests off her show.

She, too, has persisted in pushing the “Russian collusion” narrative despite there being no evidence the Trump campaign and Moscow worked in tandem to defeat Hillary Clinton — after nearly two years’ worth of investigating by federal authorities and Congress.

Scarry noted in his column some “truths” about today’s major media:

— “Activism” at most news outlets is now acceptable, especially if it is Left-leaning activism:

CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta, who saved democracy when he challenged the administration’s immigration plan by quoting a cliche poem, said in a radio interview that the media need “a different kind of playbook” when it comes to covering Trump. Like an old lady who feels sassy ordering a Sex on the Beach, Acosta defined his new journalism rules as, “That means at times, you know, I bring a little attitude to what I do on a daily basis.” Acosta may be harmless on his own, but when the sea of media decide to rewrite the standards for covering a presidency, to assume an “attitude,” it’s time to accept that they’re no longer journalists. They’re activists.

— “Everything Trump says is controversial,” even when said ‘controversy’ has to be invented by the media:

In September 2016, then-President Obama acknowledged that now-former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick may be kneeling for the national anthem in earnest, but he said that Kaepernick should “listen to the pain that that may cause somebody who, for example, had a spouse or a child who was killed in combat.” It wasn’t controversial to stand up for the country’s most recognized symbol until Trump did it, at which point it became racist. The Washington Post’s liberal blogger Greg Sargent said Trump’s criticism of NFL players kneeling fit into a pattern of attacking “high-profile African Americans to feed his supporters’ belief that the system is rigged for minorities.” The NFL is not an exclusively black league, and patriotism isn’t racially divisive, but that’s a nuance that doesn’t feed a fake controversy instigated by reporters.

— “Willful ignorance isn’t a bug, it’s a feature,” he wrote, explaining:

It’s possible to actually earn prestige in the national media, a field that formerly required an ongoing thirst for knowledge and understanding, by refusing to learn new things. In November of last year, New York Times columnist Charles Blow bragged that he refused to meet with then-President-elect Trump after the election, though he had come to the Times newsroom for an interview with staff. It’s more important for Blow that he stay ignorantly angry rather than learn anything that might change his mind from a face-to-face meeting. And if there is information readily available that disrupts the media’s enduring suspicion that Trump is a closet klansman, writers find it best to simply ignore it.

Poll: Americans ‘overwhelmingly believe’ that Obama SPIED on Team Trump

(National SentinelSurvey Says: A newly-released IBD/TIPP poll found that “Americans overwhelmingly believe the Obama administration ‘improperly surveilled’ Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.”

The survey, conducted by Investors Business Daily in conjunction with the TIPP polling firm, also found that a majority of respondents would like to see the appointment of a special counsel to look into charges that some Obama FBI and Justice Department officials improperly obtained surveillance warrants to spy on Trump campaign figures.

“One fact emerges from the poll of 900 people conducted from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2: The public doesn’t necessarily buy into the Democratic narrative that the Trump campaign ‘colluded’ with Russia to tamper with the 2016 presidential election,” Investors Business Daily noted.

“The poll also suggests that many Americans think the roots of the allegations made against Trump extend beyond the two major party campaigns in the last presidential election and deep into the Obama era’s intelligence and law enforcement bureaucracies, and may involve active political bias on the part of supposedly nonpartisan employees of both the Justice Department and FBI,” IBD added.

About 55 percent said it was “likely” that the Obama administration “improperly surveilled the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.”

Regarding whether a special counsel was needed to “investigate whether the FBI and the Department of Justice improperly surveilled the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election,” 54 percent responded “yes,” and 44 percent “no.”

“The poll’s contents are troubling for those in the Democratic Party and the left-leaning media who had hoped to make a case with the American people that President Trump worked with Russian officials to win the 2016 election. The American people don’t seem to believe it,” IBD reported.

Dreamer to DEMS: ‘Stop using us a PAWNS’ as he praises TRUMP’s immigration leadership

(National SentinelIdentity Politics: “Dreamer” Hilario Yanez complimented President Donald J. Trump for his leadership during an interview on Fox News Saturday while chastising the Democratic Party for using him and others like him as political “pawns.”

“At the end of the day, here’s a guy who wants to provide a pathway to citizenship for myself and, you know, really make a difference in my life,” Yanez said of the president.

“I’m for that. Also, I believe we need to have border security so this doesn’t happen again,” he added.

“And if a wall is necessary to provide another layer for border security to do their job in a safe and responsible manner, then, you know, I think it’s necessary to fund it,” he continued.

“The diversity lottery — I think it’s outdated, I think it’s time for people who want to come to the United States to focus on skills so they can contribute to the American economy,” Yanez said.

He also blasted Democrats, saying he is “frustrated” by their unwillingness to work with the president on his immigration reform plans while using people like him as political “pawns.”

“The Democratic leadership, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, really have no clear message,” he argued. “We have been confused, I think at the end of the day they have been using us as pawns.”

“We should have never shut down the government over DACA. We should have never held our American people and our military hostage,” he said, noting that Democrats opted not to solve the DACA problem when they had control of Congress.

DACA refers to Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals, a program implemented via executive order by President Obama in 2012. The order was set to be challenged by about a dozen states as an unconstitutional change to immigration law before Trump rescinded it in September.

He gave Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix for the program. That deadline is March 5.

Yanez said he is proud to be in the United States and would “do anything to serve this country, to die for this country.”

“All I need is a chance,” he concluded.

Russian operative CASHED IN with US spy agencies; $100K payday after promises to deliver cyberweapons and TRUMP DIRT

(National SentinelDeep State: A Russian operative managed to bilk U.S. spy agencies out of $100,000 last year over what turned out to be phony promises to deliver cyber weapons and compromising information about President Donald J. Trump.

As reported by The New York Times, the money was delivered to the operative in a suitcase in a hotel room in Berlin in September and was intended to be the first installment of a $1 million payout, according to U.S. officials, the Russian operative and documents reviewed by the paper.

At issue: Theft of secret hacking tools used by the National Security Agency at a time when officials within the NSA were attempting to learn the full extent of what had been stolen.

The Times noted further that the NSA was apparently not interested in the alleged information regarding the president, in part because they didn’t believe it was valid:

Several American intelligence officials said they made clear that they did not want the Trump material from the Russian, who was suspected of having murky ties to Russian intelligence and to Eastern European cybercriminals. He claimed the information would link the president and his associates to Russia. Instead of providing the hacking tools, the Russian produced unverified and possibly fabricated information involving Mr. Trump and others, including bank records, emails and purported Russian intelligence data.

The United States intelligence officials said they cut off the deal because they were wary of being entangled in a Russian operation to create discord inside the American government. They were also fearful of political fallout in Washington if they were seen to be buying scurrilous information on the president.

The Times noted that the NSA worked through an American businessman who is based in Germany in order to provide the agency with cover. Also, the paper noted that the NSA spent months tracking the Russian operative’s “flights to Berlin, his rendezvous with a mistress in Vienna and his trips home to St. Petersburg.”

Also, the paper said the NSA used its official Twitter account on several occasions to send coded messages to the Russian.

The Times noted further:

The episode ended this year with American spies chasing the Russian out of Western Europe, warning him not to return if he valued his freedom, the American businessman said. The Trump material was left with the American, who has secured it in Europe.

The Russian claimed to have access to a staggering collection of secrets that included everything from the computer code for the cyberweapons stolen from the N.S.A. and C.I.A. to what he said was a video of Mr. Trump consorting with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room in 2013, according to American and European officials and the Russian, who agreed to be interviewed in Germany on the condition of anonymity. There remains no evidence that such a video exists.

The paper noted that U.S. spies became suspicious of the Russian after he expressed an eagerness to sell the “kompromat” — compromising material — because it “raised suspicions among officials that he was part of an operation to feed the information to United States intelligence agencies and pit them against Mr. Trump.”

The Times noted that U.S. spies were far more interested in the hacking tools the Russian operative allegedly possessed:

The cyberweapons had been built to break into the computer networks of Russia, China and other rival powers. Instead, they ended up in the hands of a mysterious group calling itself the Shadow Brokers, which has since provided hackers with tools that infected millions of computers around the world, crippling hospitals, factories and businesses.

Also, U.S. counterintelligence officials believe that Russian spy services are working to exploit what they see as political divisions in the U.S. regarding various scandals involving some FBI and DOJ officials under the previous administration, the Times reported.

“Russian hackers are targeting American voting databases ahead of the midterm election this year, they said, and using bot armies to promote partisan causes on social media,” the Times reported. “The Russians are also particularly eager to cast doubt on the federal and congressional investigations into the Russian meddling, American intelligence officials said.”

Whiny Adam Schiff MELTS DOWN after Trump refuses to release Dems BOGUS FISA counter-memo

(National SentinelHissy Fit: House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff, D-Calif., blasted President Donald J. Trump on Friday after the commander-in-chief refused to authorize the release of a memo Democrats on the committee produced in response to last week’s explosive FISA memo.

“After ignoring urging of FBI & DOJ not to release misleading Nunes memo because it omits material facts, @POTUS now expresses concerns over sharing precisely those facts with public and seeks to send it back to the same Majority that produced the flawed Nunes memo to begin with,” Schiff said in a tweet accompanied by a statement.

The statement runs counter to virtually every revelation in the GOP-drafted FISA memo, which documented serial abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court by members of the FBI in obtaining a warrant to spy on minor Trump campaign figure Carter Page.

The memo noted that the FBI used a dossier written by former British spy Christopher Steele that was based on salacious and erroneous information provided him by Russian government sources.

The FBI failed to properly vet the dossier when applying for the surveillance warrant for Page. The FISA memo also notes that the dossier was the principal evidence used to obtain the warrant.

In his statement, Schiff called the Republican-drafted FISA memo “flawed” and a “misleading attack on law enforcement by the GOP.”

“We hope this matter can be quickly resolved so the committee can return to its charge — fully investigating the Russian interference in our election and the role of the Trump campaign, and what steps need to be taken to protect against foreign interference in the next election, now only months away,” said Schiff’s statement.

knife

In a letter to White House counsel Don McGhan, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray said both of them had serious security concerns about the Democratic response memo.

https://twitter.com/ali/status/962151729788682240

The objections by Rosenstein and Wray were what led the president to decide to return the memo to the House Intelligence Committee for changes.

Some of Schiff’s critics have said he intentionally included classified information in the Democrats’ memo just so Trump would reject it and give him and friendly media a talking point that the president and Republicans are being partisan.

Hannity warns: ‘Just a SLIVER’ of DEEP STATE corruption has come out so far (Video)

(National SentinelSwamp Creatures: Fox News host Sean Hannity said during his Friday night program that a crescendo of information regarding Obama-era corruption in the FBI, Justice Department and other federal agencies is coming and that only a “sliver” of information has been released thus far.

“Like we’ve been telling you, sit tight. If you think this is bad right now I promise you it’s going to only get worse,” he said.

“What we have now is a sliver of the information. It’s coming out day by day. I’ve been warning you from the beginning this is Watergate on steroids. And as you can see this gets more corrupt by the day,” the Fox News star noted.

Referencing the revelations contained in the House Intelligence Committee’s explosive FISA memo, Hannity reminded viewers that “this whole thing starts with Hillary Clinton, remember, rigging the [Democratic] primary against [Sen.] Bernie Sanders. Why more Bernie people aren’t mad, I don’t know.”

Continuing, Hannity said:

Then she tried to rig the general election against Donald Trump. She paid for a phony Russian propaganda dossier filled with Russian government lies and propaganda…the FBI then takes that bought-and-paid-for dossier; they don’t tell the FISA judge the truth, to go out and get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign before the election…

Left-wing HACK journalist tweets college professors should DROWN conservative students

(National SentinelFringe: A Left-wing former contributor to Deadspin gave a harsh response to a conservative activist who tweeted out that conservative students on college campuses are treated unfairly by liberal professors who dominate most institutions.

“I get countless of messages from students who say professors are lowering their grades & penalizing them for being conservative,” Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA tweeted Wednesday. “Leftists dominating higher education represent a grave threat to our country & culture.

“Conservative students shouldn’t be targeted for disagreeing,” he added.

That tweet earned him a now-deleted response from Jesse Farrar, formerly of Deadspin and Vice, who wrote professors should instead “hold the conservative students heads under water until they stop breathing.”

Kirk responded: “I’m sure he is joking, but imagine if conservatives made a joke like that against liberals?”

“I am not joking,” Farrar wrote back, later deleting the tweet.

Kirk told Fox News the response “stunned” him. “He’s calling for the public death of conservative students,” he added. “They disagree with our worldview so much that [liberals] literally want us dead.”

Deadspin was contacted about Farrar’s comment by the Independent Review-Journal, and Deputy Editor Barry Petchesky said that while he didn’t agree with Farrar’s “method,” he said, “I can’t argue that it wouldn’t make the world a better place,” Fox News reported.

“So, mass genocide of conservative students would make the world a better place,” Kirk noted.

J. D. Heyes, editor-in-chief of The National Sentinel, noted that liberal journalists in the U.S. today are actually doing Americans a favor by revealing their true identities.

“In the age of Trump, these bozos are doing a full-reveal and letting us see them for the anti-American shills they’ve always been,” he said. “What’s more, people like this are taking over the Democratic Party, with the party’s blessing.

“Maybe now it’s easier to see why conservatives and Republicans in Congress should stop trying to ‘work with’ these Marxist lunatics who are openly advocating our deaths,” he added. “Imagine how it will be if they ever really do take power.”

Citing politics, sanctuary cities and CRIME, there’s an EXODUS out of California

(National SentinelUnsustainable: In the past few years more people are leaving many California cities than coming, despite the lure of good-paying high-tech jobs and other opportunities.

There are a number of reasons for the net outflow of California’s residents, but the principal causes are the high cost of housing, illegal immigrant crime, and the state’s far-Left politics.

“I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same,” Carole Dabak, a retired engineer who’s lived in San Jose for 40 years, told local station KPIX.

She’s preparing to sell her home for about $1 million then buy a bigger home for less than half the price near Nashville, Tenn., where she has family and will retire.

Dabek cites crowding, crime, and politics as the reasons for her own exodus.

“We don’t like it here anymore. You know, we don’t like this sanctuary state status and just the politics here,” she said.

KPIX describes the outflow of people as a “mass exodus.”

Russell Hancock of Joint Venture Silicon Valley said, “Silicon Valley has been this place that is growing. And it was mostly growing because…people relocating here and relocating from other parts of the world. That’s changing.”

The company’s own survey found that people are moving to Sacramento, Austin and Portland, Oregon.

“You can’t even contemplate getting into the housing market here,” Hancock said. “And I don’t mean just service workers, I mean highly skilled professionals. The tech elite are having a hard time affording reasonable housing in Silicon Valley. So this is difficult, this makes it very difficult for employers trying to recruit.”

KPIX reported that nationwide the biggest migration centers are Phoenix, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Nashville.

Others who have left California have cited the state’s high taxes and growing number of homeless people living in the streets.

Obama, the terrorist financier

analysis
By J. D. Heyes, editor-in-chief

(National SentinelUnprecedented: When he was running for his first term as president in 2007, then-Sen. Barack Obama delivered what was described at the time by ABC News as a “strikingly bold speech” about the “war on terror.”

In calling for withdrawing U.S. forces from Iraq, the freshman Democratic senator from Illinois called for redeploying thousands of troops to Afghanistan and, if necessary, Pakistan.

“I understand that [then-]President Musharraf has his own challenges,” Obama told an audience at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, “but let me make this clear. There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. It was a terrible mistake to fail to act when we had a chance to take out an al Qaeda leadership meeting in 2005.

“If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won’t act, we will,” Obama vowed.

Granted, as president, the world looks different from the Oval Office, but does it look so different that it transforms a presidential candidate seeking to protect Americans from terrorism to a president who funds them?

Apparently so — at least, if you’re Barack Obama.

You may recall that as part of his ‘gotta have it at all costs nuclear deal’ with the Iranians, Obama authorized a payment of $400 million to the murderous theocrats who run the country, a payment that was literally delivered secretly, in the dead of night, on pallets stacked in a cargo plane.

As The Wall Street Journal noted at the time, the payment wasn’t made to the Iranians until four U.S. hostages were released — meaning that Obama reversed decades of U.S. policy against paying ransom to terrorist organizations (Iran is a state-sponsor of terrorism, making the entire regime a terrorist organization):

Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said.

As outrageous as that was, there’s more to the story. The WSJ noted further:

The money represented the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement the Obama administration reached with Iran to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Iran’s last monarch, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

“With the nuclear deal done, prisoners released, the time was right to resolve this dispute as well,” President Barack Obama said at the White House on Jan. 17—without disclosing the $400 million cash payment.

Next, the Obama administration authorized 13 payments of $99,999,999 on the same day to the Iranian regime for a total of around $1.3 billion — paid out of a secret fund run by the Treasury Department called the “Judgement Fund” that is used to pay monetary awards against the U.S. government. The payments were less than $100 each to avoid oversight (reporting requirements), according to the New York Sun.

Of course. We’re talking about the most corrupt regime in the history of our country, as we continue to learn each day.

For months after revelations surrounding the ransom payments, foreign policy realists predicted that Iran would use the monetary windfall to fund its terrorist proxies, which include Hamas and Hezbollah (rather than spend the money on its own people).

Those predictions were met with the usual derision and pompous dismissal by the pro-Obama commentariat and congressional Democrats.

Turns out those predictions were spot-on.

As Bill Gertz reported for the Washington Times, a U.S. government study has found that “Iran used the funds to pay its main proxy, the Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah, along with the Quds Force, Iran’s main intelligence and covert action arm and element of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

During his two terms in office, Obama did more to support terrorists aligned against America than he did to eliminate them as a threat. And now we know for certain.

What a guy.

If Congress doesn’t pass DACA legalization, then Dreamers will…LEAVE

(National SentinelAdios, America: A group of so-called “Dreamers” — illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as children by their parents — is threatening to self-deport if Congress fails to pass legislation legalizing their presence inside the country.

In an interview with CNN, one of the Dreamers, Alex Velez, said, “I will leave. I will leave America as soon as possible,” claiming that she would prefer to depart the country on her own terms than wait for the United States to collect and deport her.

She and others like her believe that by self-deporting their absence will be noticed by Americans and missed.

“Velez and her sister claim they own businesses, pay tuition, and hold jobs, and that America has a duty to keep them here in order to maintain their contributions,” The Daily Wire reported.

Both girls are from Venezuela, a country that is currently collapsing under the Marxist regime of President Nicolas Maduro.

President Obama implemented the Dreamers plan — formally known as Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals, or DACA — in September by executive order. Critics at the time decried the order, claiming it was an unconstitutional change to immigration law, which only Congress can do.

As many as 10 states lined up to challenge DACA in federal court. As such, President Donald J. Trump rescinded the order in September and gave Congress six months to come up with a legislative fix.

That deadline is March 5.

Study: Welfare for FOREIGN refugees costing U.S. taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars

(National SentinelAmerica First: A new study appears to validate President Donald J. Trump’s claims that taxpayers are increasingly on the hook to care for refugees who are brought into the country and resettled.

The study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) found that foreign refugees are being given about $867 million in welfare benefits every year.

In all, taxpayers are billed about $1.8 billion for the full cost of resettling foreign refugees every year, the study found. And after five years, American taxpayers will have spent about $8.8 billion on resettling foreign refugees.

“Using the most recent admissions figures, data on federal and state public assistance programs, and information from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), our analysis found:

  • The cost per refugee to American taxpayers just under $79,600 every year in the first five years after a refugee is resettled in the U.S.;
  • In 2016, the State Department spent nearly $545 million to process and resettle refugees, including $140,389,177 on transportation costs;
  • Of the $1.8 billion in resettlement costs, $867 billion was spent on welfare alone;

  • In their first five years, approximately 54 percent of all refugees will hold jobs that pay less than $11 an hour;
  • $71 million will be spent to educate refugees and asylum-seekers, a majority of which will be paid by state and local governments.
  • Over five years, an estimated 15.7 percent of all refugees will need housing assistance, which is roughly $7,600 per household in 2014 dollars.”

“It is important to note that this analysis does not address the costs associated with any incurred national security and law enforcement costs associated with some refugees who pose a threat,” the study continued.

“The total price of additional vetting and screening expenditures, law enforcement and criminal justice costs, and federal homeland security assistance to state and local agencies is hard to quantify,” it said.

Democrats have long argued that refugees and immigrants do not qualify for federal welfare benefits. But FAIR’s study proves otherwise.

Since 1980, the U.S. has admitted more than 3.5 million foreign refugees, with nearly 100,000 refugees arriving in 2016 under former President Obama.

FO-300x250-1

Trump, who has been critical of U.S. refugee resettlement programs, lowered the number of refugees admitted to the country, reducing the annual flow of refugees by 70 percent in his first year in office, as Breitbart News reported.

Bannon: ‘Why are McConnell, Ryan letting DEMS investigate TRUMP?’

(National SentinelSwamp: Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon believes that Republican leaders in Congress are helping Democrats nullify President Donald J. Trump’s victory by allowing what he believes are politically motivated investigations against him to continue.

“The nullification of this election, I don’t think is coming from the Left,” Bannon told Charlie Rose in an interview that was released in full Tuesday night.

Portions of the interview aired on “60 Minutes” on Sunday, which included Bannon saying he does not think that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconson want the president’s “populist, economic nationalist agenda to be implemented.”

In the full interview, Bannon said, “Not only do you have a special prosecutor and the Justice Department and a couple of grand juries. You have on Capitol Hill … with Republican leadership, you have three separate committees.

“You have, I think, two in the Senate and one in the House,” Bannon said in reference to the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees and the House Intelligence Committee. “And they are investigating him and sending out subpoenas, and they’ve had some big breaks already.”

As noted by The Daily Caller:

The House Intelligence Committee has received a cache of documents from the Trump Organization, the Senate Judiciary Committee has questioned Donald Trump Jr, and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“Principally the Republican leadership has allowed three committees to go and principally be run by Democrats,” Bannon said.

“I think [California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff] is running the House committee … looks like [Democratic Virginia Sen. Mark Warner] is running the Senate committee and not [Republican North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr].”

Typical: Bette Midler wishes for VIOLENCE against Sen. Rand Paul for DOING his job

(National SentinelFilibuster: Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., took to the floor of his chamber Thursday evening to rail against a two-year budget deal being negotiated between members of both parties because it substantially raises spending and will likely add to the national debt.

“When the Democrats are in power, Republicans appear to be the conservative party,” Paul said at one point on the Senate floor, during a speech that slowed down the budget approval process ahead of a midnight government shutdown deadline.

“But when Republicans are in power, it seems there is no conservative party. The hypocrisy hangs in the air and chokes anyone with a sense of decency or intellectual honesty,” he added.

Republicans were critical of Paul because his effort led to the government being shut down — at least temporarily. At this hour it remains shut down until President Donald J. Trump signs budget legislation that passed both chambers of Congress.

Despite what anyone may think of Paul’s efforts and statements, that is what his constituents elected him to do — fight for the principles upon which he ran, say supporters.

But should disagreement invoke violence? Actress Bette Midler thinks so, according to a tweet she sent Thursday evening referencing a recent violent attack upon Paul by a neighbor that left him with six broken ribs.

“Where’s Rand Paul’s neighbor when we need him?” she said.

A spokesman for the senator was blunt in his response.

“I guess some people think felony assault, six broken ribs and other internal injuries are funny. That makes them pretty disturbed,” Chief Strategist Doug Stafford told the Gateway Pundit in response to the tweet.
